Why There Won't Be A Civil War In the U.S.

So it's been said that there is going to be a civil war by pro and anti Trump forces in this country after the election. But clearly, before we have this civil war, there are some things we'll have to work out first.

- What hours and days are this war on? Can I fight this war on my days off from work? Can I work it around my personal schedule?
- Does medical insurance cover war wounds?
- Can we agree to place latte stands and breweries off limits to war damage?
- What if the civil war causes a run on toilet paper?
- Who do I sue if my house or car get war damage?
- Can I take 2 weeks off from the war? It's a planned vacation and I've already bought my airline tickets.
- Do overweight, out of shape people have to march uphill? Or dig a foxhole?
- Are food and lodging provided? What are the accommodations like at the war?
- Is there a Wi-fi connection at the war? How will I recharge my iphone when it needs it?
- What if it's cold or it rains outside?
- Who's in charge of my side, and how do we decide that?
- How do we know who is on which side? Do we wear uniforms or something?
- What if the war interferes with my love life?
- How much will I get paid for this? Can we negotiate pay?

So, you see, folks, there are many issues that have to worked out before we can have a civil war in the U.S. Enter the lawyers ...

There might be other issues as well. Feel free to add them to this thread.

I have read statements that there would be a second civil war—think some are inflating political hurly burly way too much.

I really like Karen. Should I unfriend Karen if she posts a Like on the Facebook page on the other side?

If those uneducated farmers, ranchers, and truckers won’t deliver food and fuel to the anti-Trump side, that’s NOT FAIR!

Missquote time
we are doomed to keep repeating the same mistakes....
Indeed.

Which is why America will give Trump a second term.

To be precise, the American system will give him his second term just like it gave him his first.

The American people didn't want him in 2016, and I don't believe the majority of voters will vote for him this year either.

Their stupid electoral college will give him his second term, unfortunately.

His lying about COVID19 will scotch his chance of a second terms I think. His base may not mind but by itself is not enough to get him elected. It is the swinging voters who decide elections. He is also unlikely to win the three states that got him over the line last time.

Good. Nobody is going to start a war in the next four years, give the US time to recover from the mess Trump got it into internationally, economically and health wise. Might see a further move on Obama Care.

I think Seth is looking at it wrong ... you're thinking of a civil war in the traditional sense .. thats been and gone. It's not happening that way. Things have moved on now. It's now a war of truth v's lies. Americans are pitting themselves against other Americans, even through the use of force but in smaller more localised groups. The right taking up arms to stop BLM protestors is just one example.

So the latte stands and brewery pubs are safe?

Phew!

All of that civil war talk had me worried.

At my age, I wasn’t all that excited about digging a foxhole either.

I would hate to ruin your image of us, so sure. We all have an underground bunker and foxholes in our yards.
