That is what the white flag is for.

Black flags were used by a Confederate unit, unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the battle but it was in the Western theatre.

A black flag meant that quarter will not be given or expected. Very dirty fighting, no mercy.

Someone else can ask a question now.

The "Black Flag"(order No. 2), also meant no quarters given, no surrender, and no prisoners would be taken. This order was giver in the Battle of Fredericksburg Virginia(Eastern Theatre). During the North's campaign to take Richmond(1862).

This was also the official standing general orders policy by the South(Confederate). Which stated that "no quarters" shall be given to Blacks and there White officers. Because both were not considered legitimate soldiers by the Confederates. The former were re-enslaved, and the latter executed.

Yes, but rebels did not routinely carry a black flag into battle. This was southron to white unionist.

The South ingested fear of a slave uprising with their mothers’ milk. Funny, you make people work 14 hour day after 14 hour day driven by frequent whipping, you sell them or their “wives” or their children and you worry the slaves might revolt?

(“wives” because slave marriages were not recognised in law, families, husband/wife or parent/children were split apart, never to hear of each other ever again. Good looking )light colored) female slave girls were bought and ripped out their mothers’ arms by speculators who bought them to rear until they went through puberty when they would be sold for obvious purposes.)

I didn't take your hint literally or as being cryptic. Are you saying that we were ALL once assholes, and some are still assgoles?

How do arseholes relate to your previously mentioned Latin translations? You've looked the word up and are trying to be clever.

I know this because i too have looked the word up and know what you mean by arsehole. An association you didn't know when merely breaking the word down.
