Is the public holiday celebrating the Queen’s birthday in most of Australia.

The Australian people are gutless wonders who cannot bear to cut the apron string even tho that apron string was destroyed in the Fall of Singapore. If we ever need help again in a major conflict it will not be the UK to provide that help: it could barely take back the Falklands from a largely untrained conscript army.

So, high time we grew up and did the symbolic cutting of a nonexistent symbolic link to monarchy on the other side of the bloody globe!

Then the second Monday in June can be the better date for Australia Day.
