The ones who always cry that socialism has failed everywhere ALWAYS ignore the fact that the west have ALWAYS sabotaged it with embargoes and trade sanctions. Why? because they are afraid that other countries will follow if it is allowed to succeed.
I don't know about anyone else, but I've never been afraid of something that I genuinely thought would fail. Why would I be? I usually leave it to travel it's own natural path to self destruction. The reason the west is so panicked every time a new socialist regime pops up is because they know that without embargoes, they cannot compete and their own flaws will become obvious to everyone.

Exactly right. Cuba has lived under American aggression for ever. They are under a trade embargo and then the right are like 'Cubans have no food!' (this is also not true)
