Got conned into this by step Grandson. Bloody thing will cost me, just in parts, around $2000.00, forgetting the hours I have to put in....but that is the part I enjoy, those hours.

Her ya go. At Issue 13.

That bit in the middle...is the dash board supported by a magnifying glass thing. See the 20c piece for scale.

good on ya. To many kids today don't even know what a billy kart is. And as far as they're concerned go karts are what we hire at kart tracks. They don't realise that most of the fun is in the making of it and working out why the bastard won't run

When I was a kid we used to go to the Port Kembla Billy Kart Derby each and every year. Of course, the billy karts are a lot more sophisticated today than they were in my day, when I was young they were old wooden fruit boxes on wheels and you just let them rip ... often they didn't even have brakes, but that was OK because you'd stop going back up the other end off Wentworth street ...

Love It !!

It had stopped for many years and I'm glad to see they bought it back. I think covid has put a halt on it again but i hope it comes back once covids sorted. I'd love to bring my boys down there to experience it one day

You can see a bit of the two belts front bottom under those silver things at the front. There are 8 cogs under those two covers (and the two belts) around which the two belts wind. Shame the belts are then covered up. See those silver 'bolts' at tbe right and left of the two red rocker covers? There is a mirror set on the other side of each. Total of 24. Each of those bolts have to go in individually. Took me about a bloody week to get them in!
