From Google Earth Pro seems the drop from front to rear of block is one metre, just nice, allows frost to drain away, allows some nice landscaping effects, no huge amount of earth moving needed to have level “platforms” for house and greenhouse+garden shed.

Going to sell my block. Mum’s house will sell for WAY more than what I dreamed of even last year. Where there is no crap about bushfire danger I can make do with a somewhat smaller block. Now to get a decent price for it. I paid, gross, like $53,000, spent $2,200 getting water put on and $8,000 having power put on, $2,000 having a garden shed built and add $6,000 agent commission and say $2,500 LTO fees means minimum of $70,000 asking price. Might be a bit much but it is a big block and power and water ARE connected!

Same size house/land as yours?
just make sure it's well insulated otherwise you'll cook when it's hot, freeze when it's cold, and you find it deafening when it rains.

Feeling a bit weird and sad right now. House is nearly all packed up, big skip in the drive filling up with the detritus of 60 years (62 years to be exact, 1960–2022) of life. So much of Mum’s stuff is such utter rubbish, LOL!
No return of the stolen items or photos—someone in the family is a thief. Not nice to know but it is so.
Trip to Tassie next Saturday—should determine where my house will be. Old life new life.
