Polls

Monk, the yank forum has the ability for the thread creator to post a poll that the users can participate in. Do we have that anywhere? If not, can you get that?

Polls on a small board are not much value except to gauge feelings of the board members. I think I turned them off but will turn them on. Hang on. . .

@HBS Guy Hey you did it! I see the poll in the U.S. elections thread.

Now is that some sort of Australian slang? I have no idea what that means.

OK, can’t find reference to Polls in the documentation. But I have found a Poll creation for a page not a thread:

Top right of each page of threads you see a “Watch” followed by a drop down menu that includes “create poll”

As a rule I ignore polls......IMHO they're wastes of space....

In a forum, reasonable polls can only be considered valid if all posters, in order to post in the thread, must partake in the poll prior to being able to post in the thread.

I don't know the actual stats, but IMHO most threads only have the occasional new poster, so it's the same result over & over......conservatives will have their usual rightist points of view, & leftists will have their diametrically opposed points of view, & vice versa.

LOL.

I don’t disagree with your opinion on polls but I was asked to activate them and found how people can use them.

A statistician would not look at a set of numbers until there were at least 700 cases.

With the odious bitch, doxxer and ban breaker Neferti back in OzPol it would be a good time to do some recruiting there.

Time to go on a recruitment campaign?
I agree....700+ equates to a more appropriate consensus.
Feel free. I agree with Monk. I am very uneasy about being at OzPol now that Neferti is back there. Say so if you do not know the story. She is the worst www doxxer in www history.

Not knowing the particulars puts me at a disadvantage, but IMHO, I would have to think that such an ire that causes one to post another's deep & dark private secrets would have to have been provoked.

Sharing deep & dark secrets on the internet will ultimately always end up badly for the owner of those secrets, especially if there is any possibility that you may piss off the person who has easy access to them or knowledge of them.

No dim dark secrets were revealed. Just simple life stuff, collated by a doxxer over years, who then stalked. That is not the point. The point is...they THEN published their findings. That is the issue.

Ok ...... Maybe what I consider "just simple life stuff" should, & never could be, taken as such an affront if divulged.....but that's me & my own personal opinion. Some people are, & can be, far more sensitive to such things than I am........ Personally, I'm a sticks & stones kinda guy, but I do have red lines that are safer not crossed.
