well hi there.. I've been absent mostly, lately, because I am unwell...
not sure what it is yet... or what they are....

Have some tests to do ASAP, following an MRI of my neck.
Nuclear Medicine is required. Not many places do it.
No appointments made yet, and it is a bit of a mystery, because apparently I have what appears to be infection in 2 cervical vertebra. 2/3 and 3/4. In the bones..?
Not what I expected at all.

I should have asked my doctor more questions, how frustrating.

Might have to resort to Google to look up the terms mentioned on the referral.

I'm sorry for you Pink. I hope it all works out to be nothing serious. Sounds like your people are onto it.

Best of luck and keep us posted.

That doesn't sound good. Could it be leukemia? Hopefully they can rule that out. I hope you get good care and a positive outcome. Write your questions down before your next visit so you don't forget to ask. Doctors can be hard to reach for questions when they aren't scheduled to be with you.

Who says "it might be leukemia"? Jesus!

I’m sorry to hear that, Pink. I’m hoping this is something they can treat easily. Please keep us posted.

No-one. And...I reckon leukenia is unlikely as pink is not a spring chicken.
I didn't mean to alarm anyone and I should apologize to Pink for throwing out the "L" word. I like to call a spade a spade and speak my mind. I lost a 58 year old brother in law to leukemia 2 years ago. It's not just a kid's disease. My concern was the mention of "infection" in the vertebrae. An infection usually requires a path to introduce the infection. I suppose it could be through the brain and spinal fluid somehow. If she didn't have back surgery or was injured in some way, how did she get the infection. That made me think cancer.

Pink - I apologize for being so blunt in speaking my mind. My attitude is "What kind of friend would I be if I thought there could be something wrong and I didn't say anything until the problem became too bad to address?" I just want you to be prepared to ask your doctor the right questions to at least rule out some illnesses. I can be a good friend but I'm just often not a pleasant one. I'm opinionated and I speak my mind. Let me know if you don't want my input and I'll shut up.

May i suggest you leave possible diagnoses and medical examination to those not only trained to do so, but who are also trained in both shielding people from frightening and stressful theories and delivering bad news with a modicum of tact?

Not a problem . I have already lost an older sister to myeloid Leukemia, and my big brother to Lymphoma. But it is a mystery.. there is no apparent trauma to allow entry... and yeah more questions required. Anyway had a blood test yesterday and a full body scan today. (nuclear medicine ..in with the dye wait a couple of hours then go back).

Will find out more early next week.

It's all good.

Yes you may, and if you post on here with a similar problem I will respect your wishes.

Be December before I can head off to my new block, will try and find someone to slash weeds and rotary hoe the ground. Try and get a slightly bigger garden shed than the one at GT, have it lined—sleep in there. Have a small rainwater tank fed from the roof of the garden shed? See if I can get power and water put on.

My garage (once built) will be my laundry, cidery/meadery/brewery. Might need a patio heater or three in winter! Back door to open into the garage.

So you agree not to unnecessarily scare the shit out of someone who has previously asked you not to.

How exceedingly generous of you.
