A great day for Australia. I am beyond thrilled to see how issues pertaining to women were both on the front line and so fabulously endorsed by the Australian people. Too late for Julia Gillard but nonetheless, about fucking time. So very many smart, committed women coming into power. Just brilliant. What's more, women's voices seem to have been a major influencer in this election. At last!

Loved Albo's victory speech, although he was a bit impatient with the crowd, albeit a very drunk and exuberant crowd. Was moved by his emphasis on kindness and inclusion and the devoted honour he paid his mother and his humble upbringing. May he be a true advocate for those who share similar stories. They so desperately need as many as they can get, after all these years of LNP hack and slash.
Strengthening Medicare after what the Libs have done to it ... tick. Let's see if they undo all the damage though.
