Not entirely. Yes we had the Abbot/Turnbull/Morrison show, but electors also remember -- and don't want -- the Kevin Gillard/Julia Rudd roundabout. Albanese gets in... who's waiting in the wings to claw him down? Palmer's ads may resonate with some, but Oz is a two-party State and I'm not sure Clive can get traction. The big problem here is Labor really does not have any political partners they can trust, and I simply don't trust the Greens.

Clive doesn't want traction. Palmer is a die hard liberal no matter what he pretends. His aim is not to win govt., rather his aim is to draw preference votes away from labor and towards the libs. Everything else he says is a sham. By presenting himself as an alternative conservative, he stops votes from disenfranchised liberal party voters from going to others who might preference elsewhere.

The Greens have their place, but they're not someone I want holding the office of Prime Minister, but they do need a seat at the table to help "keep the bastards honest" and have some influence on environmental policy.

I'm no spring chicken anymore however i work at a university....

and i'm sick and tired of watching bright-eyed young people getting fucked over by years of this government.

This unfortunately is what i feel we can expect more of:

- The environment:..... yeah the fucked planet these poor bastards will inherit.

- Any kind of natural disaster (see The environment): "Not my job".

- House prices: "just go and buy a house..... its better long term than rent"....... "oh shit they are too expensive as we have given all those tax breaks to our mates, the boomers, and investors from overseas." "I'll just stay with my ex-wife and charge it to you little cunts haha".

- Job security: What young person is going to thump >500K on a mortgage (see house prices) when they are casual, or on a contract, employment that can be pulled from under them at a moments notice?
"Just go and get a better job" (Hockey, our esteemed former treasurer)........ (see education)

- Healthcare: "just go to a private hospital" "cause....Merica... Fuck Yeah!"

- Education: "Ah fuck TAFE, Universities and public schools!..... our kids go to a great school..... because we're all on six figure salaries for fucking killing time...... and when they fail.... we'll just buy them a Rhodes scholarship" (see: Tony Abbott)

- Refugees: "As long as they are white they are ok" Rinse repeat.

- Women: "what is discrimination, sexual harassment, assault and rape?...... I'll ask Jenny.... not on Jenny's watch!"

- Indigenous Australians: "........ zzzzzz zzzzz zzzzz"

- LGBTQIA+: "They need more hillsong in them"

All just too depressing.
