Not to hijack Aussies thread but the most comfortable to drive vehicle I've ever driven was an old Bedford with a petrol 6 and 4sp crash box...brakes were shit but everything just felt perfect for me, bench seat was super comfortable, window height was perfect for my arm, pedals just right...lol hardly a luxury vehicle though...just clicked...

I really liked the old Ford Telstar I bought for $1000—no longer working but not 65 so couldn’t get my super. Bit of work—it was the most comfortable car I have driven and it had a nice amount of boot space. Took a bit of getting used to a manual choke again.

The Mazda3 has a tiny boot.

I was watching some of those indian/pakistani truck repair videos, omg things we would throw out like cranks, broken axles, busted gears they just chuck in a lathe, bloke with a stick welder glues them up with no preheat or anything, machine them back and away you go...

off topic but engines never the less LOL

Remember the Bush Mechanics? Drive shaft broken? Chop down and trim a suitably long/thin tree, use that as the drive shaft!
