You STILL don't get it. Believing in free speech DOES NOT MEAN that we cannot criticise
certain speech! Saying the 'N' word is a DISGRACE, but it should be totally legal. Am I
against free speech now?
calling for someone to be sacked from their career goes beyond criticism, it's a punishment. Much like jailing someone is a punishment for doing something illegal.

You would be okay with someone being sacked for saying the 'N' word.
we weren't discussing what I would be ok with or not. We were discussing the right who endlessly cite the right to free speech, right up until someone says something they don't like.

And there's nothing inconsistent about that, because they're not calling for legal punishment!

Yes, Trump had SO MUCH influence, that that the clubs
totally ignored him and didn't fire the players! :ROFL1
It is irrelevant that the clubs didn't listen, we're talking about the hypocrisy of the right. Trump tried to have him sacked. That he failed (just like he failed at almost everything else he touched) does not diminish from the rights hypocritic attitude to free speech

Again, it would be perfectly acceptable for a conservative to call for the firing of someone for saying the N-word for example. Nothing hypocritical about that. Speech MUST have standards! But ZERO legal consequences!

Again, we're not discussing what is acceptable and what isn't. I'm jut pointing out the sheer hypocrisy from the right who cry about the right to free speech every time someone criticizes someone from the right for saying something absurd and yet have no problem trying to punish someone who says something they don't agree with

You won't be able to cite ONE SINGLE example of someone on the right 'crying' about the right to free speech after someone criticised someone from the right for something they said!
