A road safety tip

I read this in the Royal Automobile Association magazine many many years ago. Was reminded of it by a recent dash cam video compilation.

If you are travelling at speed and for some reason you are forced to drive partly on the soft shoulder SLOW RIGHT DOWN before trying to get all four wheels back on the road. The RAA called this “shrugging your shoulders” and it can be deadly, cars rolling multiple times. I imagine this would be even worse in top-heavy SUVs.
