Woke about 8.10pm yesterday evening, VERY strong pains in chest, dialled 000 for an ambulance. Paramedic came first, ECG/.BP/pulse etc, then ambulance. Two and a half hours of “ramping” and into the Emergency Dept, more ECGs plus blood taken through the jellco. When half asleep at 2.30 or whatever—chest XRays, oh joy. Nothing found any problems, have to arrange for a stress test of the heart with my GP. Joy.

Finally wheeled to the ED longstay ward about 4.00pm, oh joy, sleep I thought. Nope, 20 minutes later “Hi, my name is {whatever} and my job is to ensure you are alive and breathing” so more bloodpressure etc. I was thinking furiously “Fuck off and let me sleep, arsehole!” which the arsehole did eventually.

Copious bleeding after the jellco was removed, yummy breakfast of presliced crap bread and blah jam, fruit juice and a glass of milk. Left the WeetBix alone, slimy shit!

Walked home, only 20-30 minutes.

Our lovely neighbors saw the ambulance, when I left they took Mum to their house to sleep there. Chinese value family—Mum is their beloved “Aunty.”

Look after your heart! do some exercise, don’t use tobacco. Stress likely brought this on.

Maybe the stress test will show something. The nurse said “Good!” about the ECG, I thought “I wanted it to show something wrong!”

I'm glad your tests looked OK and that you could go home. I hope they figure out what happened, Monk, and then go from there. There are all kinds of treatment plans for the heart these days.
