2 Sides To Police Shootings

But if all you have derive from my comments, is that Woolies and Coles set the prices for fruits and veggies, and that eventually smaller competitors will go broke trying to compete with them, then you have completely missed the point.
I hope so, my comment had nothing to do with your 'points'. I was merely addressing the question you asked.

The ridiculous amount spent on locking people up could be used to give someone dignity..... not a cage.
in america the penal system is, as I understand it, largely privatised .... giving people dignity is not very profitable for political donors.

I have no idea what question that is. And, as usual, you won't be able to quote it, because it only existed in your head. So, I won't bother asking.

The scenario I presented, was to illustrate,

the problems with establishing any minimum/universal wage.
the need for Government price fixing as a possible solution
the problems with public apathy, ignorance, indifference, and the public's poor inclination to solve social issues
the ramifications of solving just ONE problem by a collective(capped petrol at $1 per liter).

Now it IS possible that somewhere in my comments, that I inferred, or asked who sets the prices on products. I just can't find it.

Again, you are wrong. It is Parliament(ACCC) that originally sets the prices on most goods. Including, fruits and veggies.

Just FYI, only 8% of state and federal prisoners are held in privately run prisons in the U.S.

Same as here.
You beat me to it Seth. Neither of these two ever do their homework first. At 8.4% privately owned/funded institutions, one can hardly say that the penal system in America is "largely privatized". EXCEPT JOHN! I'd seriously look at your own privately owned penal penal institutions, which is pushing 20% of the penal system. Gee, I wonder what group will dominate the private prison population in Australia?

After that, it's just more bullshit based on another straw man. This obviously has nothing to do with anything that I've said. Or, that I've asked.

I don't need to do homework...... my comments are largely based on empathy and compassion.

Besides...... i said payed for by joe public..... ie: taxpayers

and i stand by what i say.........change could improve things because at present..... it isn't fucking working!!!!!!!!!!!!.... both here and around the planet. I always look for ways to do things better, personally, and what i do in parenthood, life and work...... It isn't to much too expect a little bit of inward thinking when it comes to public policy.

So fuck your numbers!...... people aren't numbers.... oops...... yes they are because they are poor and desperate and sold a bag of weed or had to steal something...... and just happen to be black..........or the ones that don't die in custody (here) or get shot by police (U.S.)

Significantly increasing the number of immigrants in detention means record-high profits for private prisons

During his 2016 campaign, then-candidate Trump expressed support for expanding the role of private prisons and espoused hard-line immigration policies.44 The morning after his election, stocks in CoreCivic increased by 34 percent,45 and those in the GEO Group rose by 18 percent.46 The two companies have informed their shareholders that federal government contracts are integral to their47 profitability.48 In memos to their shareholders, both companies acknowledge that policies with the potential to reduce the U.S. detainee population constitute potential risk49 factors50 to their business model.

Who are you responding to? I certainly was not talking to you. Other than an add-on to your comments about minimum wage. Which a basically agreed with.

that's why I didn't present it as a fact but rather as what I'd been told.

do you ever have discussions with real people in real life? Because it certainly looks like you have no idea how they work.

and why must anyones comments have to do with what you say or ask? Do you really think everything revolves solely around you in these threads? :ROFL1:ROFL1

what are you disabled? I've already quoted it. If you want it again you to fetch like the good little bitch you are.
Disabled? A good little bitch? You truly are a real piece of work? I never expected you to quote the question you accused me of asking. But really, expecting me to find a question that you just made up? Really?

Your depth of knowledge is wasted in any argument. You have as much to contribute, as a double-talking, gibberish-speaking, shallow-minded politician. If you can't even defend your argument from even the most basic queries, then why don't you please just listen to the adults in the room? We don't need to insult people, to hide our poor depth of knowledge, or just being intellectually lazy.

OK. ... It looks like i was misinformed.
Okay, can you quote where you were misinformed? Or, can you cite the source of this misinformation? It's important to know exactly where you were misled and misinformed. Especially, since this information can easily be sourced.

do you ever have discussions with real people in real life? Because it certainly looks like you have no idea how they work.
You clearly are NOT the real people that I have conversations with in real life. These real people actually know what they are talking about. They also don't mind admitting when they are wrong. Unlike you.

and why must anyones comments have to do with what you say or ask?
They don't!! So why defend unrelated comments, as though they are related? So, why do you need to misrepresent, lie, distort, or just make-up comments that I have never said? And then insult me for querying your misinterpretations?

Do you really think everything revolves solely around you in these threads?
yep he does.
To answer both your questions. If it refers to MY post, then it is certainly about me.

it's quoted in the comment where I first replied to it... you can continue to cry and act like a moron, or you can pretend you're a grown up and go look for yourself.

what are you? 5 yrs old?

You clearly are NOT the real people that I have conversations with in real life.
Obviously I'm not the real person you talk to , unlike your 'friends' I don't come with a valve and a foot pump

They also don't mind admitting when they are wrong. Unlike you.
you mean like this comment from me earlier 'OK. ... It looks like i was misinformed. '
Do you want to try to go from dumb to dumber now?

They don't!!
thats why you complain that unrelated comments directed at someone else don't answer your questions :ROFL1

If it refers to MY post, then it is certainly about me.
and when I specifically quote a question from someone else and reply to it and you cry it doesn't answer YOUR question or deal with YOUR points, what is it then? Could it be a sign of your egocentricity perhaps?

No, I meant like, "Sorry, I was mistaken/wrong/misunderstood.". Not this deflection of blame, "I was misinformed.". This is just shifting the blame onto someone else, like any child would.

It reminded me of my early years as a chef at the Sofitel in Brisbane. I had never done a chunky fruit salad before. I asked the other chiefs, if I should I remove the watermelon seeds, or not? They told me to leave the seeds in, and the plate was returned. The chef asked me if this was my first fruit salad? I said that it was. He took the time to show me. I could have told him that I was misinformed, by the other assholds laughing on the line. Or, that it wasn't clear from the menu. But then I would also be just shifting the blame. So, "sorry chef", and move on was the best course of action for me.

Obviously I'm not the real person you talk to , unlike your 'friends' I don't come with a valve and a foot pump
I really don't know WHERE you come from. But I, for one, wouldn't be unhappy if you would go back.

what are you? 5 yrs old?
I wish! It would make it a lot easier to understand you.

hats why you complain that unrelated comments directed at someone else don't answer your questions
I have no idea what this gibberish even means. Please call a friend first, before you post.

it's quoted in the comment where I first replied to it... you can continue to cry and act like a moron, or you can pretend you're a grown up and go look for yourself.
Unlike you, I don't pretend to be anything. I simply am what I am. There is nothing either of us can do about this. Unlike you, I don't judge the character of a person by their behavior. Especially, from a person that I have never even met. That WOULD be arrogant and egocentric.

At least you admit to being an assholds

NOW, do you understand that their reply to your question about seeds in the watermelon was because... it is a stupid question , right.?

Very stupid. ! Do you even understand NOW.?

You are strangely blind to your own faults, but hot about everyone else's.

Bet you're not a chef anymore/ or alternatively you're one of those psycho chefs.
:bgrin .

Hey I spent years in hospitality, and I've seen a few.
