A prediction—and the weather in nearly all Australian mainland 6 & 7 Dec gives it legitimacy—based on ENSO, 2019 will have a moderate-weak El Nino.

We see 2017 was pretty much spot on, 2018 will be too.

I have seen AGW deniers make crazy talk of the last two years being a “cooling cycle” when it was just temperatures returning, very slowly, to the 0.2°C/decade warming trend because of “the” Grand Solar Minimum. Have a look—sun went a bit quiet in the 1980s yet temperatures increased!
