Well looking at some of the data that has come up here, by posters with an interest, I wouldn't dream of denying that.

Magnificent.

Is Winx bigger than Makybe Diva now- ? I used to follow horses but haven't been for a while now- I never saw Makybe but she has a statue erected to her in Port Lincoln- its beautiful- I just read that Makybe died in 2013- skull fracture - I didnt even know :sad she was a clever girl

The same as Makybediva…?

No.

Its like apples and oranges. Makybediva was an utter freak at distance races. The greatest I've ever seen.
When it comes to the Cups, she is a standalone freak. In recent racing history, Ethereal, who won two straight comes close. (Caulfield/Melbourne Cup)

Winx doesn't run at those stayer distances, but she is incredibly versatile, and probably could win a Caulfield or Melbourne Cup, she is that good. But her owners and trainer are nurturing her. She could go on undefeated for years, barring bad luck, always a factor.

I love horses, but I don't necessarily love the Racing Industry.

same here. I don't want to go to the local to watch... Winx will race on Saturday.

Reports from the stable says all is great with the magnificent Winx. :bgrin

Guess I'll have to buy the paper and check out the field. Could look on-line, but it annoys me because I will not pay.

Yeah was really enjoying the Seven Coverage of the Racing Carnivals, but that stopped ….. Seven sponsored The Queensland Winter Racing, BUT NEVER PUT IT TO AIR. Don't know why. :sad

It is s'posed to be on free-to-air on 7. But they've fucked up so far, and there's nothing in my TV guide to show its on. To be Advised from 2pm. :roll

:clap :clap :clap :clap :clap
Another mighty win by Winx. :bgrin

Channel Seven actually put a half an hour into the Race meet. I thank them for that.... :roll

Really poor form from Ch 7.
But the interviews with Waller before and after the race were excellent.
And Bowman?? told us the truth... she'd win with just about any capable jockey on her back. Well said Hugh Bowman.

Winx the Magnificent. :bgrin

I s'pose I don't have to tell you she just won her 26th STRAIGHT WIN. :yahoo

Makes me feel good to watch her run. Her authority, her dominance...… Magnificent.

She'll race next in the George Main in a month or so.. same path taken in previous years to The WS Cox Plate.!

She'll be going for 4 straight Cox Plates. :thumb

So September 15 will see Winx the Magnificent race again.

The George Main Stakes - 1600 m (approx. 1 mile)

.. then at least one more race before her tilt at the NEXT WS COX PLATE. !! Should she win 4 in a row...!! ??

Well jeez I'll be so happy.

The Mighty Winx races again tomorrow.. at Randwick, at 3.10 pm. AEST

It is an excellent field... and if you take Winx out of the mix?
Very difficult to call the placegetters.

Channel Seven put it up free-to-air .. so from 12.00 some good racing to watch.

But the champ of the day is Winx.

They're taking her out to the mile, so that she's building up for the Cox Plate. :bgrin

Have no doubt. barring BAD LUCK, or whatever, she'll win again tomorrow. :rose

Winx the Magnificent won her 27th straight race today. :yahoo :yahoo :yahoo :wub :wub :wub
Also her 20th Group One win. She has won 30 of 36 races, the last 27 consecutively.

She is now the 5th highest stakes winner in racing history, worldwide. The rest of the Spring Carnival, including the WS Cox Plate is likely to see her reach the top of that field.. as well.

Her next likely race is a lead-up race to her 4th COX PLATE win :bgrin coming to your screens soon. :thumb

could be the Turnbull stakes, in 3 weeks. Not sure if that is confirmed yet.

Watched the Ch 7 broadcast from about 1.00 pm.. not bad … but oh those lily-livered commentators... :roll When it came to the race...

Winx was running absolutely true to her normal pattern. Bowman, for some reason decided to hit her with the whip a couple of times. (arsehole)
Coming up to the real race... the last 400 mtr.. she knew what she was doing … he's just sitting on her back to make it legal... :mad

and the commentators, all gasped... oh NO. :OMG :huh :WTF .. I mean really they all should have known better
than to DOUBT THE MIGHTY WINX. :mad
