http://delimiter.com.au/2014/06/10/reci ... 600-techs/

600 technicians supporting IT in NSW schools sacked.

You can easily foresee in a few years an enquiry will be launched why the IT systems in schools don’t work anymore and twice as much money will need to be spent upgrading/repairing etc etc the educational IT resources. Better to sack 600 bureaucrats.

Likely it is part of a push by the Libs for “independent” public schools which, apart from a couple of model ones will be under–resourced and end up being sold to private interests who will provide a crap service to extract the maximum profit—look up charter schools.

But anything to cut science and education and IT technology seems to be a priority of the stinking neoliberals.

Santa’s “rural peasantry” no doubt.

Nothing wrong with the economy that applying taxes fairly, keeping CEO pay to 10x the average for his company and removing the outrageous fiddles wouldn’t fix. Funny then that the Budget doesn’t change any of those!

Further playing to people’s racism is not a good move either!

Monkey talking about reducing emissions shouldn’t clobber the economy when his Budget will clobber the economy—just look at the levels of business and consumer confidence! The minor tick upwards after the election didn’t last long!

As soon as he began to talk.....well, we all know what happened then, lol.

All those so-hopeful business types and electors went.... :WTF have we done?

And it's been downhill ever since!

Palmer happy to join in the war on science—will vote to rescind Carbon Price and RET. We will go backwards at a rate of knots—huge new numbers will be unemployed because of this backward step and we become that little bit more a pariah state and object of laughter.

Well done Liberal, National and PUP voters. You must be so proud!

That was a great rant, eh? She is right too!

Why else do so many urban blokes buy SUVs? Appearance rather than reality of manhood. aka small dick syndrome.

So, why then do so many suburban women buy 4X4's?
Offhand I'd say I see more Mums hurtling around in the bloody things than men.
Basically they're a power-trip, and a damned death-threat to say the least, they should be banned from non-rural areas!

Hmmmmm, I don't think I'll be offering your explanation to any women I know, I still value my head (and other bits)! :rofl

I recently had the pleasure of watching two women in their tanks disputing a parking spot at a suburban mall, and they managed to get their vehicles jammed into a situation where neither could give way, and they blocked access for everyone else in the process!
I was so amused I stuck around for the finale, it was better entertainment than anything else I'd seen recently.
Eventually after many tears and tanties they allowed a couple of blokes to get in and untangle their mess, the chagrin on their faces was solid gold!

The Budget spells out the way the shambles is attacking science:

Though the federal budget has not yet been passed by Parliament - and many of the measures relating to science may never be passed - the Abbott government's approach to funding science isn't good. In the budget we saw cuts across a swathe of scientific agencies: $7.8 million from the Australian Institute of Marine Science, $28 million from the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, $36 million from Geoscience Australia, $75 million from the Australian Research Council, $80 million from the Cooperative Research Centres program, $111 million from CSIRO and $120 million from the Defence Science and Technology Organisation. . . .

Along with the abolition of the Climate Commission we've also seen the axing of the Australian National Preventive Health Research Agency, formerly tasked with providing evidence-based advice to governments on preventive health policy.

Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/comment/science-f ... z3HU7d5gQ6

That adds up to a $457.8m cut to science! Half a billion dollars! Idiocy!

The moronic so–called journalist goes on to praise the (mythical) $20Bn medical research fund that is supposed to be funded by the new doctor tax. This fund will be handed out to Big Pharma to “do research” and which Big Pharma will then charge an arm and a leg for the medicines/treatments found by research funded by it, assuming the money isn’t just handed to shareholders.

I am going to set up another FaceBook page: In defence of Australian democracy and privacy!

These arseholes are giving themselves WAY too much power to read our mail, to withdraw passports on the whim of the Minister and what the fuck they will do by signing the TPP is going to destroy sovereign government!

Not only that, the idiots are creating a recession which could well be coupled by deflation. We could become a failed state.

As usual anyone will be able to post articles. Love any economists and lawyers around the place to pitch right in!

Election now!

Be reasonable :roll - we are talking about the Mad Monk and the Jesuit mafia here :grn .

But hey, what's wrong with giving them another $200-300 mil a year. We already give them a $30 billion tax holiday, another $200-300 mil a year will hardly make a difference.

"..........highlighted the willingness of politicians to bypass the High Court, and pointed to the political hold of the Christian lobby" Put that with the deceptive, truth avoiding double double talk of the ministers, "we won't discussion On Water operations", truth warping Spin Doctors, a complacent compliant sycophantic press, an apathetic public, et al, and you have a regressive destructive ultraconservative govt.

The MSM has SO much to answer for! Bloody traitors gave us this completely incompetent and authoritarian govt.

“Coal is good for humanity” can you get more 19th century than that? We had bushfires in October last year, OCTOBER! Now another bushfire in the Blue Mts, near Katoomba this time—when is the penny going to drop for the dickheads, the dregs of the awful Howard govt led by the most incompetent Cabinet Minister Howard had, so bad that as LOTO and PM the idiot announces policy before it even went to Cabinet! Easier than writing a decent submission and arguing his case I suppose!

And the militaristic, even fascist overtones, is another concern.
