Yeah. It s sad, and imagine how his children felt.?
These were cute -as- buttons Maltese/ shitzu crosses. Feisty gorgeous, but they were never allowed out of that compound area, into the larger property. Earlier in the piece, I said he ought to let them He explained, they always bolt. They run away.

I didn't comment on the obvious. :roll
YEAH... :sad

…. Now the boy gets to tend the piglets, but I don't see much interaction going on.

I go and talk to them over the fence, now and then. I want my dog to know, now that she's sort of accustomed to them, .. that I like them. After all she is a 35-40 kg bred to the bone pigdog, that I rescued.
It was quite hilarious actually.. the day the piglets arrived. I was having a nice snooze -in, but the dog starting barking this really strange bark.
She has different barks for different circumstances, and this one was ... weird. It had a WTF ? WTF is this? sound. :bgrin

She's great with horses, etc, but I don't think she'd ever heard or smelled piggies before. After a while I got out of bed checked her out through the window, and she was definitely barking at something next door, but she kept backing-up , strange bark, then seemed drawn forward again.
So OK I put on some outside gear and went out and had a look.

:bgrin :bgrin :roll yep two little piggies now resided in the structure I'd noticed him building over the last week or so. Two little piggies, cute as can be. One white with black patches, one a ginger. :bgrin

Poor little piggies. :sad

Umm I feel compelled to contact the original senior officer who dealt with the tree-felling, and see what he says. I don't think Council will allow him to relocate these sweethearts into the protected area. I don't know, of course.

Tomorrow is another day.

And so I did.

And I didn't lay a further complaint. But I can, and perhaps I should. Not sure yet, depends on what he does about it.His pet piggies are too close.

I may have to approach him again soon, because he said he was waiting on COUNCIL APPROVAL TO MOVE THEM... down into the really protected area.. "where those two big dead gum trees are". :roll :roll :roll :roll :roll :roll (Porky Pie)

The fuckwit doesn't have a clue.

Went to talk to the piggies today... I think they are gone.

No sight or sound of them, and it just felt empty.

SIGH :sad

Today he was clearing away some of the native flora he had chainsawed previously. Loading stuff on his trailer. IN the Primary Area of Importance .
Then the chainsaw came out again. I watched ..he was cutting up the trees he'd felled before. He has to. So he can replant them.

I hate the sound so I went and did a bit of necessary shopping.

BUT... the Vandals are at it again. :sad

I got home and all was quiet, and was about wrapping up a good old natter with my best friend,..... we're meeting for lunch tomorrow.... when I heard a motor zooming around. Late afternoon.

Yep. While I was talking I went out to see .. oh oh ... my neighbour tearing around the circuit he'd cleared, in a dirt buggy. Full roll cage.

Seen it before ... before the Council got involved, and I had advised him, friendly like, he couldn't do that..... he didn't listen. :mad

FUCK.

FUCK FUCK FUCK… I'm afraid I started yelling ( I asked my friend, can you hear these fucking cunts..?)

So Using my command voice I called them fucking CUNTS , more than once. My friend said I'll see you tomorrow.

I rarely get ANGRY.. it isn't conducive to harmony. But OH BOY. :roll
I took hold and ramped in and went inside. They continued to roar around in the buggy, raising dust, but not my ire.

Council buddy gonna get an earful on Monday.

Monday was an Ekka Holiday here... :roll but he still answered his work number. He was really willing to listen. Jeez

I'd forgotten it was a Hol until he said he'd advise Sheree when he got back to work. :emb

So anyway...………… no further contact, and I don't expect it really. I may get a call but I'm not holding my breath.

I think my neighbours will end up getting their way... :sad regardless of the Law. I haven't given up, but I don't get informed of anything because of Privacy Legislation. So I'll only know, if he starts chopping down more trees to house the pigs. Because the piggies are back. In the pen too close to my water supply. And fuck they've grown.

I hope I am wrong. The last 20 years of my life has been pretty focussed on protecting this last remnant of wildness in an increasingly populated area.

If I am forced to live with dirt buggies ripping up irreplaceable habitat, I think I'm baling, all the way out of here.

ahhh ok. I think heading south.. like SOUTH SOUTH, may be a viable option.

I've thought about selling up and going back to my Homeland ..NZ.
The Shaky Isles.

The Land of the Long White Cloud.

Only been back a couple of times since childhood, for visits to family, AND...

I could SMELL the difference. It was like breathing in fresh air, when I de-planed at Wellington.

The Pine smells, the earth smells, were notable to me above the smells of jet fuel and wet concrete.

It smelled SO familiar...…

If you do sell up and move, have a big wall cavity, stuff it full of insulation, 35 x 140mm studs instead of 35 x 70mm.

So in continuance... I had to call Council back on Tuesday.

The pigs reappeared about a week after they left, and now?? after the last week of wet weather, they are stinking it up bigtime. YUK. I smell it in my home. :mad

I had to call again.

Nothing had happened in 2 months, since my complaint about the pigs proximity to my water tanks. Well, that got things moving, and today Council officers attended, and agreed... Pheww!!

Sigh.... the arsehole still hasn't started replanting the native trees he cut down. He's been busy putting in hedge plants..' Yesterday today and tomorrow', for one. :roll (poisonous to animals) .. plus stupid golden canes.eg.etc :roll

I'm expecting a call back next Tuesday.

Why are people such fucking arseholes?.

This guy acted like he couldn't believe a woman would query him. Well tough shit, mate... expect heaps more. :mad

And here we are another month or so gone. Seems things ARE in the works.. but guess what..?

He has put in a proposal, accepted, that will allow him to remove a couple more trees and who knows..?.move the pigs .?? Privacy means I can't be told much. He still has to replant 2 for 1. No action to date from him on this front..

The PIGS are still right there... and...Ta Da! !

I got a Notice of an Alleged Nuisance Barking Dog …from Council. I got it yesterday.

How pathetic is that. ?? No real skin off my nose.. I've talked to the Council officer. My dog does not bark as alleged.
I pointed out it was a 'malicious' complaint, lodged by the neighbour in retaliation for the two complaints I've laid against him (them). I also sought clarificationn of how they determined 'nuisance' barking. My dog does not bark like that.
:)

So

this evening, I let my dog out around 10.30 pm. She is inside with me most of the time. She had a couple of barks, down the bottom fence, and up the top fence.... nothing much. So .. all was quiet... then I heard her start going off.. along the neighbours fenceline. Most unusual. She was definitely stirred up by something over there. It was dark.. so I we t out and stood near the fence, calling her down. It took a couple of minutes for her to settle down. In the meantime, I was standing there... talking to this man. I knew he was there... my dog had no reason to do as she was. So I told him, in rude words, and also in plain words, into the dark, that he better not keep pulling this crap because he'll be sorry. Stop being a fuckwit and do the right thing etc, don't go stirring up my dog, do what he ought to do. Stop being an arsehole.. etc.

:) should be interesting if anything comes from it. I doubt it. If he was recording, for eg, my dog barking, grunting and running, he'd also have my voice. Proof he was deliberately acting to provoke my dog. Oh well, so it is.

I do not intend to let it lie. I';ve started a diary, from this event, and I WILL be documenting anything I consider suss. Oh well, life WAS getting a bit boring. :roll

Pink, the little hairs on the back of my neck stood up reading that. How scary for you!

What a prick.

Suggest you report it to the council worker you spoke to about the nuisance dog report. Report him before he can report you. He can always erase your voice from any recording. You said you went out because your dog was barking. He's have your poor doggo responding perfectly reasonably to a creep in the shadows for long enough to make a case.

Good luck!

Thanks Mothra… but it's not scary for me.
It does have me alert however. :thumb
There is no benefit for me calling about the incident earlier tonight. The Council don't want to hear about neighbours in dispute.

They want only facts, and as I said, and had confirmed, it is an ALLEGED Nuisance Barking Dog Complaint. If he wants to prove it he'll fail, and short of that,..? as long as the pigs are moved away from my water supply, and he doesn't get to escape the requirements that he must replant those trees.?? not much I can say.

However, any more stupid crap from the arsehole and I'll have a lot more to say on the matter.
