Obviously the Labor campaign made mistakes.

We do need to reverse the Howard/Costello structural Budget deficit and giving public money to very wealthy retirees who pay no tax is an outrageous rort. But they let the Libs frame it as a “retiree tax” when it is nothing of the sort. So the structural deficit continues strangling economic management. Spending by families is dropping as people have mortgages and credit cards hiked to the max—and a recession is coming, partly brought by idiot economic mismanagement by the Libs: the next tranche of cutting penalty rates comes in 1 July, less money to spend.

Unemployment edged back up during the last days of the campaign yet Labor made nothing of it.

The RBA will cut rates so those living off savings or saving for a deposit on a house will have less money to live on. The cut will do nothing to spur economic activity.

Adani etc could get government funding to get it going, money we will never, ever see again and the other coal mines will be developed too, huge traffic through the GBR, risk of oil spills etc, AGW etc, use of GAB water meaning farmers’ bores will run dry. Thank the idiot Bob Brown for that.

well the scamman IS an advertising fuckwit, par excellence.. who played the people.

My polling booth was plastered with the anti-Shorten propaganda. Black on yellow.. the most eye-catching combination.
The anti-propaganda, run by Morrison, was hugely successful, and shows just how stupid Australians are when it comes to politics.

I know people who consider it a badge of honour, that they've never voted. Fines coming in, ignored.
This fella I was talking to today, said he had no idea of who was even the PM. He hated being forced to vote, and he refused.

Fuck them all.. No care no responsibility.

Others I have spoken to dismiss Politics.. with .. they are all the same.....

its too hard.. unless you just accept all the crap. In this case, as I've said earlier in the piece... people went for the devil they knew... fearful fuckwits. Are all happy together now. :roll

All tarted up for naïve consumption. I have to hand it to him … HE won the election...

Indeed.

The Libs are criminals - it's as simple as that.

There's a special place in hell for Morrison.

Clones are clones, they know nothing else but to vote for the status quo and the Libs were offering less change, the clones stuck with that as voting otherwise, is to hard for such simple programmed minds.

The biggest problem labor faced was shorten, probably the most deceptive moron they could put forward as leader, add they wanted to raise taxes and for nothing else of worth, you have a perfect recipe for what occurred. Morrison is a very devout god nutter whilst shorten hangs on the coat tails of the cult, so the god nutters all went with Morrison and until that changes, we will have the same merry go round political system.

There is one good outcome of the result, the libs will begin fighting amongst themselves along with the labs and society will collapse pretty quickly over the next few short years. Once that's over, the planet can get back to some form of normality with just a few sensible humans to cope with, other than now the planet has to face the never ending population growth and environmental decimation.

Lies about Labor policies which lies were not put right by Labor. A brilliant ad on climate change—aired too late.

Now the Darling River will be completely ruined by Nats like Barnyard, corrupt to the core.

Why did labor lose ?

- Voter ignorance (party how-to-vote cards should be banned, and replaced with AEC information leaflets)

- Liberal Party lies (every single time they open their mouths, they lie)

- Too many confusing policies (the public are too stupid to understand multiple, complex policies - they can only understand things like "Stop The Boats")

- Bill Shorten (the voters just don't like him, but Labor refused to accept this fact)

And a $60,000,000 spend by Palmer had nothing to do with it?

They lost because they deserved to lose.

We don't like having our superannuations pilfered, more taxes levied, our money given away to the UN, being told how to think, paying for someone to make our kids have more sex problems, being gagged over any criticism, having mines closed, being led by someone who refuses to answer a straight questions or by someone with a shady past.

Take your pick of those or select all.

How will we ever know? This is like the Democrats in the US thinking about how much Russia had to do with their failure.

Except we KNOW what Clive spent. $60m, chump change when the Libs (i.e. us taxpayers) build the railway for the billionaires with coal concessions in the Galilee Basin

Labor should have sold its good policies much better. We will never see a clearly spelled out party platform again. It will be small target campaigns.
