Yep. Blow up Syria for blowing up Syria and hang shit on all of the people running for their lives.

That's the way it goes. I've been paying attention.

Me too. I've listened with dismay at the sad history of Syria over the years of the successive Asad regimes. It seems quite clearly a case of like father like son. :sad

The first I heard of it was this evening when Teresa May came on Live. I was somewhat surprised.. however I agree that it was appropriate.. I see no other actions available to those opposing chemical warfare, and I also understand APPEASEMENT DOESN'T WORK. All this chest-beating by Russia... nope... a perfect opportunity... the West really couldn't afford to let it go begging.

There is no evidence of chemical warfare in this instance.

OH please ? :roll :roll spare us your spin.
I suppose you'd like to have something in your hands to prove it to you before you will believe it. Well, go there and satisfy your doubts... I fail to see why people such as yourself cry wolf. I actually agree that this was a necessary act against a rabid regime.
You seriously agree with Russia and Syria.?

Now I agree that pictures can no longer be relied on as proof. Anything visual is subject to tampering. I can understand your cynicism.
But... there is too much evidence to ignore, or reject. Only blind fools would say so.

what is sad...more than anything else, to me, is.... no country involved in this strike, can claim not to have taken civilian lives in conflict by 'conventional weapons'.
Which is really why Asad has been bombing his people into submission so relentlessly, and being ignored, basically, by the West.

So it really makes me wonder, WHY NOW.? This chemical attack. ...? Is Asad trying to start a wider war in the Middle East, with Russia and Turkey all having an elbow in, not to mention the UK France The US and Australia. They all get dragged in, and he continues in power.

Pity about the people, and the environment.! By the time this is over, there'll be nothing but blasted earth and ruins left.

Yes.. understood.. they've been bombing the place for month/years.

This last little group of opponents to Asad were killed like rats. Didn't matter that these were mainly children , women and old men.

And we have known about this pogrom... you either kiss his arse or you die slowly, along with all your family.

We have known about this.................... :sad It has been happening for years.

So... my question remains... why does this happen now..? Asad has Russian backing. Could that be it.?

The govt., predictably, put out that the rebels were planning a chemical attack.

See it's not enough just to kill people horribly. You've got to fuck with them first.

umm and the title is misleading... I first heard it in a live Broadcast from Teresa May.

Umm.. its wrong to single out the US in this action. The UK and France also played their role. It wasn't a unilateral action.

I think that the US, UK and France were engaged in an illegal act of aggression/war which they try and justify using fake news. It's not the first they've done it. Iraq has endured worse.
