Say the Feds say: OK, referendum for new state, northQld + north NT, south NT goes back to SA. Would you take it? Good big state!

Bullshit, SA can afford to carry the NT.

And what was the government supposed to do? Continue bailing out a company that was doomed to fail?

By now the motor makers would be exporting their head off. The contribution the car makers and parts industries made to the economy will be missed soon enough.

Darwin should be the port.

Townsville is bigger than Cairns and both a miles bigger than Darwin.

North QLD and the NT would never accept becoming one state, not now and not ever, so this idea is pretty fucking pointless wouldn't you say>

The answer: return Northern Territory to South Australia. Well do a better job than the feds.

Conditional. I support that. It just makes sense and would make both people's pretty happy.

The NT would be represented better in the SA Parliament, and even in Senate elections as well. At the moment, the NT gets two senators; but if they were under SA, then they could potentially get more than 2 senators, because NT makes up more than 1/4 of SA's population.

Second, we should remove the 1/2 hr timezone for Australian Central Time. Let's go back to GMT + 9, to become True Central Time. Having NT under our jurisdiction ensures that they also have +9 hours.

SA and NT get 14 Senators between them. Join them as one state—only get 12 Senators.

Yes, but the voting power of NT would be more if joined.

I have never agreed to do anything with the NT other than leave it alone, I am only talking about NQ becoming its own state, nothing else, So try do try to stay on target.

Where as Rocky north has a population great than the NT and Taswegia put together and some decent earning primary industries. Our only problem is a state government that gold plate the bottom corner with everyone's money and leaves the rest of us to get by on sweet fuck all.

We would thrive once we cut the shackles of the southern part of QLD, they ay not be able to build as much without all out money, but they will adapt and learn to live on their own money.

Brisbane, sunshine coast, gold coast.

Will never let it happen. They need nth qld more than nth qld needs them.

Central qld is forgot in the need to look after Brisbane as well

The New England part of NSW got a referendum up for them to be a separate state, why not North Queensland?

Shit, you might even end up with a PHON state govt!
