Wildfires in California

Look at this drone footage of the effects of the horrifying wildfires in California.

Yes, abbott you ignorant fuckwit, AGW is HURTING us! It is not beneficial at all!

I have written about the wildfire aspect of AGW in Global Warming forum here, thought this should be in politics as the headline information of the effect. Political will is needed to engage in AGW and reduce CO2 content of the atmosphere!

The richest state (if CA was independent it would be the sixth largest economy in the world!) cannot control the massive wildfires AGW makes possible (and it releases more CO2 creating more heating.)

Doesn’t matter how the fires started, AGW dries out vegetation and increases warmth making the inevitable wildfires larger and more destructive and increases the length of wildfire season.

As temperatures in Australia increase since the 1970s the bushfire season here has lengthened—BuMet. (State of the Climate report, look it up here.)

Yes.
And these fires are just the start of the reality facing much of the world. Portugal , for example, has been fighting wildfires also.

Unless we have a soaking wet summer, we'll be next.

California's devastation is certainly, surely!! a wake-up call .
Sadly they have been draining the underground aquifer that supplies much of the water to the pop parts of the state, wastefully, and corruptly, for decades. California is SO DRY. I see no immediate end of this.

:((.
sleep is bliss: do it as often and for as long as you need.

Yeah, they have actually had a real drought.

Can’t do fuel reduction burns because the wildfire season is so long. Some brand new ideas are needed to manage forests.
