To bring about the necessary changes for fair and equal treatment of all Australians, within a system of government recognising and acting upon a need for Australia to be truly one nation.
To protect our sovereignty and democracy.
To acknowledge and respect the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the first peoples of this land. In the preamble to the Australian Constitution, One Nation opposes acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as One Nation believes that all Australians are owners and custodians of this land and should work toward unification, not segregation, under the one law for all.
One Nation supports Citizens Initiated Referenda, giving the people of Australia, a voice to oppose or call for laws to be implemented.
Our children are the future leaders of our nation. They must be given every opportunity to a decent affordable education. Our children must have priority to fill school and university enrolments before those of international students.
To actively pursue and promote treaties, investment and development as deemed appropriate and in the national interest and repeal those that are not in our best interests.
To honour and respect the men and women who have suffered and lost their lives in defence and protection of our country, and ensure that those who have given so much for their country and people, are cared for appropriately in time of need.
To ensure those convicted of crimes endure appropriate penalties. To seek treaties with other countries, for those who are non Australian citizens who have committed a criminal offence carrying a 2 years or longer prison sentence, be deported to their country, to do their jail term there.
To ensure law abiding Australians, with legitimate purpose, will always have access to firearms to undertake various activities including the defence of themselves and their families in their own homes.
To ensure our society remains benevolent and caring in its approach to our fellow citizens in genuine need.
To treat all Australians equally and justly and with government assistance based on need, not race.
To support and advocate traditional family values and uphold the institution of the family in its fight against the many who aim to breakdown this important unit of any decent society.
To re-vitalise and support our defence forces and personnel and ensure Australia builds and maintains and appropriate level of national security and defence.
To restrict immigration at times when necessary due to high unemployment, overloading on our infrastructure such as roads, water, sewerage, hospitals, schools and housing, except that related to investment, and is in Australia's best interest.
To stop foreign ownership of Australia's agriculture land and established housing. Oppose the sale of public assets without the consent of Australians and repeal United Nations treaties that are detrimental or of no benefit to Australia.
To restore tariff protection where appropriate, revitalise and encourage Australian industry and manufacturing and initiate financial support for small business and the rural sector, in particular in the interest of creating national wealth and employment.
To take positive action on matters such as taxation reform, education, health, unemployment, crime, the environment and the discrimination created by political correctness.
To re-establish a publicly-owned people's bank like the Commonwealth Bank used to be, prior to it being privatised to create true competition, value and benefit Australians.
To abolish divisive and discriminatory policies, such as those related to Aboriginal and Multicultural Affairs.
To protect the environment from industry that will destroy prime agriculture land and water sources. We will oppose CSG mining until a full government impact study is done, as to the ramifications it has on our environment, land and water.
To stop the teaching and infiltration of Islam and its totalitarian ideology, that opposes our democracy, way of life and laws. To ban the Burqa in public places, government buildings and schools. To make genital mutilation of young girls a criminal offence, carrying heavy sentences. To stop islamists and their families from receiving welfare benefits; we are a Christian country, only one marriage is recognised. Ban the building of any more Mosques.
To oppose Sharia Law ever being allowed in Australia. We are a Christian country with one law for all.
To implement an Australian Identity Card to be used by Australians accessing taxpayer funded services such as health, education, welfare, pensions and services. For too long Australian taxpayers have been footing the bill for people who are not entitled or submit multiple claims under aliases. Also foreigners have been known to abuse our system, by using their Australian families details, when visiting the country.
To implement a food labelling system that is conducive as to the origin of the product, Australian made or foreign. Halal certification has no place in Australia when unsuspecting Australians are forced to fund Islamic Mosques and schools. One Nation would stop the practice of Halal Certification on all products, service, and machinery in Australia, other than for export.
One Nation will continue to stop illegal immigration by way of boat and air and support temporary protection visas. One Nation supports the refugee programme, but we must have a say in who comes in. We must be mindful of taking people that are Christian, and genuine refugees.
One Nation opposes increasing the Aged Pension age to 70 and the family home included in the assets test. As it is opposed to people on the land only being able to encompass the family home and 5 acres of land before the assets test is applied. Independent retirees who are not eligible for the aged pension must be rewarded by providing health care assistance.
One Nation opposes the privatisation of essential services such as water, gas, electricity, telecommunications and defence. This must and should remain in the hands of our governments and not foreign ownership and control. We oppose Agenda 21 and its push for 'sustainable development'.
One Nation is committed to protecting the farming sector in time of drought, flood and foreign takeover. If we cannot feed ourselves we will starve. We cannot allow other countries to use our land to feed their own when we should be growing the food and exporting it.
One Nation will repeal or review the 1953 Double Taxation Agreement Act that provides for foreign investors not to pay tax in Australia. Foreign investors take out more in unpaid taxes than Australian companies operating in other countries, bring in.
Marriage between two people of the same sex is a social issue, and One Nation believes all Australians should have the right to vote in a referendum, rather than a vote on the floor of Parliament. If it is to be determined by Parliament then One Nation members of Parliament will be allowed a conscience vote. We also acknowledge that same sex couples living in defacto relationships should be afforded the same property rights as heterosexuals couples.
To secure the election to public office of members committed to the objectives of the party.

Good grief. Well at least we know The LNP are PRO- ADANI also. So, with that issue squared away, why on earth would anyone vote for Adani.??

Our two main parties in QLD are for it. So we need to look at other things, to decide who to vote for. By the way, a quick scan of Francos's post doesn't say anything about Adani... BUT... the gist... ALL FOR IT.

SO... Qlders who want to vote against Adani. HAVE NO CHOICE. Sadly the Greens in Qld constitute yer Keystone Cops.

The Greens have played to their very wealthy inner suburb base for so long that they are just another bunch of right wing neocons. I hope Labor NEVER goes into any coalition, any agreement with them because it will always end in tears!

There are some good people in the member base, active in Close the Gate etc but the Parliamentary Party are sellouts, basically.

The Greens are the only party against it . Be interesting how many extra votes they get?

I would assume those votes will come out of labors?

Adani: Chinese state-owned company could help bankroll Carmichael coal mine

The ABC has learned that a Chinese state-owned enterprise, China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), is in negotiations with Adani and its principal engineering and procurement contractor, Downer EDI.

If the deal goes ahead, it would see CMEC awarded contracts to build key mining plant and equipment in return for China’s financial backing of the Carmichael mine.

CMEC is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, but is 78 per cent owned by the giant Chinese state-owned enterprise China National Machinery Industry Corporation Ltd, or Sinomach

That will reduce the numbers of Australian workers for Adani from 1400 to well under 400. The Chinese company will use imported labour for construction

IE what is the value of the Adani mine to Australia
taxes – no
royalties – no
employment – no
increase GDP – whoop de do

damage to Great Barrier Reef – yes
pollution – yes
damage to 30,000 tourism jobs – undoubtedly

Also – ruin of the Great Artesian Basin

I thought China was moving away from coal and building massive solar farms. Why would a Chinese company be interested in an uneconomic coal mining venture unless there was an ulterior motive?

I forget
– getting unlimited free water from Townsville water catchment
– damage to Artesian Basin water table, potential damage to Murray Darling Basin food bowl which supplies 42% of our food
– destruction of markets for higher quality coal from existing mines manned by a UNIONISED workforce

Market for low grade coal
India – no coal imports from 2020
China – no they are cleaning up their polluted air now
????

Jeez I hate this division in our society.
It would be nice if we could have a functioning government with a positive outlook and the courage to embrace change. :sad

This is such a bogus idea... it doesn't hold water. Why do politicians fear to hold to their convictions? Are they enamoured of power, and can't risk it ?
Have they NO SHAME.?

All the OLD MEN... those fukkin old fiddlers behind the scenes, should just fuck off and let a newer fresher generation take over. Get rid of these old powerplayers..... they are harming our society, BIGTIME, for nothing other than outdated moralistic capitalistic and fascist doctrine. Not ANYTHING WE NEED.!!

The crazy part is, as labor pushes toward renewables in energy at the same time its happily selling coal o.s on the cheap.

Basically funding it.
Burning coal in India does the same environmental damage as if it was burned in Townsville.

It makes a complete mockery of any labor claims it wants planet friendly power.

Yes! Finally!

The Queensland government will veto Adani’s application for a $1bn commonwealth loan to build a rail line for its massive Carmichael mine, Annastacia Palaszczuk has said.

Palaszczuk said the dramatic move, amid her campaign for re-election, came in response to what she believed was a federal Coalition plan to “smear” her and her partner, Shaun Drabsch, over his role in Adani’s loan application to the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility.

OH YES! The good old fukkin Courier Mail are right on it. So biased and anti-labor, I can't believe ANY JOURNALISTS actually work for the Courier Mail. They seem to all be political appointees designed to steer public opinion. ( EG Peta Credlins prejudicial rants) The Newman - Nicholls govt did what all Liberal National Party policies do. They ripped the funding out of support services for the disadvantaged. They sacked 10's of thousands of frontline public servants. NOW :roll they say they'll restore that. Well AP's govt has been trying hard to reverse the damage caused by Nicholls (Treasurer) of the Newman Nicholls Government since they came into govt. The face of the LNP in QLD is Vote FOR US Suckers.

BUT there are plenty of smart people here. Lets hope intelligence and truth wins out over propaganda.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Well I guess we'll see.

Labor OUGHT TO win big. Especially now Adani has been rejected by AP. Umm.. the thing is... the fallacy of 'JOBS' flowing from this Adani proposal is simply a furphy, promoted by those who seek to gain personally from it. AP has finally realised ADANI isn't a votecatcher, except for those who, in the face of all facts, still cling to the IDEA. The REALITY doesn't cut the mustard.!! Another sad thing?... Qlder's are probably the least informed people on the continent, en masse.
The Courier Mail isn't a Newspaper. It masquerades as one, and claims it has the best reputation in QLD. This is so sad, because it is the ONLY QLD NEWSPAPER, and as such, seems to feel perfectly OK with partisan comments and biased reporting. They'd prefer the comfort zone they've lived in for so long. Just look at Saturday's Courier Mail front page. It really IS TIME to accept that there is no free reporting of issues in QLD. IT is ALL politically biased.

Sadly they have the WRONG IDEA for QLD's future. The totally morally and ethically-deficient Liberal/National Party are sure to push the 'lost jobs' scenario. Well sorry, there were/are NO guarantees for JOBS for Australians, let alone Qlders. Anywhere? The locals think they'd get jobs. :roll :bgrin :purple WRONG.

Time for QLDer's to grow up.
