If Adani was obviously viable there would have been no trouble securing finance. That no private lender would extend him the loan should make it obvious that the worlds major financiers did not believe they would ever see a return on their investment.

You prattled on about how only the private sector can deliver in the north - why then did they refuse to fund this project?

Lenders make their money by lending and charging interest. If they thought Adani was going to make enough money for the loan to be profitable, the money would have flowed. Simple.

Who would support anything when the government is actively undermining it?

The fuckhead greenies have the stupid 50% of the population believing solar and wind can just replace coal and gas, all we have to do is destroy the mining industry and it will happen

Fuck it is hard enough to get shit done in this state without fuckheads doing their best to make sure projects fail before they even start.

Put the same level of anti-jobs activity on all of those intermittent power projects and see how fucken far they get.

Fucken hypocrite.

From my recollection, the QLD government were falling over themselves to extend support to Adani in the form of deferred royalties and other perks at about the time he finally gave up asking the private sector to lend him the money and sought Commonwealth funding.

You understand that for A to be the cause of B, A must occur first?

He approached numerous investment banks and our own banks to lend him the money. They all said no. The veto of access the NAIF money came after that.

Do you understand the timeline of events? If I wake up with a sore neck today, I can't blame it on falling down the stairs next week.

It's a strain to think down to your level of simplicity, where anything can be blamed on anything regardless of which one occurred first.

Bullshit even the cunt from brisbane said she always intended to sink this project, as it was her government policy to do so.

Maybe you should know what your cunt from brisbane is doing before making yourself look foolish.

If there was no finance there was no need for her to initiate her anti-jobs for the north policy was ?

Do you think the cunt may have been lying just to keep you snout in the trough?

You can promise the world if you intend to pull the rug from under the project at the last minute, for fuck sake you are gullible.

Your analogy is beyond stupid, you haven't taken into account she is a lying cunt an NEVER intended to allow the project to go ahead everything she promised and said was a fucking lie, understand?

you keep your head up your arse and pretend all you like. Adani has been in the pipeline for years ... she only withdrew support just before the last election.

if it was viable the private sector wouldn't give a shit if the government supported it or not.

So all this time, all the sweet deals that were extended, right up to that famously photographed handshake between Annastacia Palaszczuk and Gautam Adani a little while ago........all of this was just an elaborate ruse to con a mining magnate and the QLD electorate into believing they supported the project going ahead when it was really a long-running, carefully crafted plan to build up hope and then scuttle it - all motivated by nothing more than a supposed intense hatred of everyone living north of Noosa?

When you have calmed down I reccomend that you reflect on what you insist is reality - I'm a little concerned as to your mental state.

I have an uncle who is a medical professional. He is mostly retired but he could arrange a place of safety for you if you like.

Maybe she is just a total cunt and really had no intention of supporting the project. The facts seem to support that conclusion, the cunt hasn't showed her face in the north since making the decision.

If you support the project you don't just support it a little bit, then sink it at the last minute, unless you're fucken lying grub. You have to ask about her fitness to lead if that is what deems as being supportive of the north.

Destroy jobs, lie about new projects seem to be the actions of a psychopath, wouldn't you think?

Giver over, BigOle, you are getting boring. Adani was never going to happen, he just wanted us to build the railway when he would have sold the whole shebang and put the money in tax havens as is his practice. No customers (not even his own power station) and no finance. So give over!

I agree it prolly won't happen and have stated that on more than one occasion and provided the reason why as well. So your statement is a bit stupid for inferring otherwise. Stating he won't buy his own coal preferring to buy lesser calorie coal from someone else is beyond stupid, but up to your usual lies and falsehoods.

You can't forward a $20 bil project t if the government is actively working against you, not here, not anywhere.

Oh nonsense again! Adani was given a royalty holiday and unlimited water from the GAB.

He has NO customers, he has NO finance. His businesses and finance are in disarray. Stop flogging a dead horse!

That lying cunt could have promised anything she wanted, she had no intention of supporting the project right from the beginning. She fully intended to destroy this project and the thousands of jobs that went with it. This has nothing to do with the lies she said and everything to treacherous act she committed.

The only fact that is indisputable here is that the tuck-shop lady is a vile treacherous lying cunt and should never be trusted ever again.

The Premier gave Adani over–generous help like the royalty holiday and the unlimited GAB water.

Now enough! Unless there is new information this thread is finished!

There in NO royalty holiday and NO unlimited water if there is NO FUCKING project, what bit of that do you NOT understand.

Well the deputy lying cunt trad, is looking to destroy more jobs by sinking another rail line project in central Queensland, that has to make you southerners a little more happy this time of year.

More major projects destroyed in the north by labor, who would have thought.

If you really believe this then show me some evidence. If you can't then you've got nothing more than an outlandish conspiracy theory.

The facts seem to support that conclusion, the cunt hasn't showed her face in the north since making the decision.

If you have facts that support your pre-existing conclusion of a conspiracy against the north by the premier then share them. The fact that financial support was withdrawn does not amount to proof or even suggestion that this was the intent from day one for reasons explained repeatedly.

If you support the project you don't just support it a little bit then sink it at the last minute, unless you're fucken lying grub

I'd like an explanation as to how massive water rights and the offer to defer royalties payable for extracting a resource owned by Queensland for 5-6 years can be called supporting it "a little bit". It is quite clear that this would be more accurately called "full-blown support".

Adani was simply unviable - the worlds investment banks refused to lend him the money because they knew they would never see a return on their investment and the same would have occurred if the Commonwealth had loaned it to him.

Or were you going to assert - again without evidence - that every global financier he approached would not loan him the money because they were wise to this ridiculous conspiracy you say exists?

Endlessly repeating a baseless claim does not make it true, although it's a fact of psychology when a person does that for long enough they actually start to believe it themselves.

So if you have credible evidence of this anti-north conspiracy and how it destroyed Adani then put up, otherwise shut up.

The Sunday Mail had a very small piece on about pg 13 about the rail link bing built for ,..... yep.... Gina Reinhart's coy, and something to the effect that the Carmichael/Adani coal mine is going ahead.

NOW the Courier Mail, and it's Sunday Mail, are notoriously anti-labor. I wonder why this story got relegated to the back. :roll :yak yak
