Do you ever wake up, kiss the person sleeping next to you, and feel glad that you're alive? :smitten

I did, and apparently I will not be allowed on this airline again.

When I die I want to go like my grandfather, in my sleep. Of course, I am sorry for the other people in his car.

So in my time on your site, I have seen that you guys have misconceptions about my country and her people. I am trying to at least present an alternative point of view.

But you have nothing ... and I mean NOTHING ... to dispel my view that if you live in Australia, you must neither ...

go near or in the water,
take a walk outside, except perhaps on a paved sidewalk in full daylight,
or carelessly feel safe in your house.

If you do any of these things, you shall be eaten alive, or bitten and envenomated, at peril of death. Even your freakin' birds attack!

Normal, every day hazard in Australia ...

You have been gravely misled.
Big snake in the toilet? As if. You are more likely to strike a cane toad.
That's why it is important to put the toilet seat down.
Friends of ours up north play it doubly safe with a brick on top of the seat.
It stops the cane toads pushing up the lid and escaping into the house.

If it is snakes you're after, you're more likely to find them here:

But all that is for folks up north. For those of us in civilised places like *Victoria*, no drama.
You'd like it here, Seth. If you visit, just remember-head south.

Mind you, some dogs—and some people—just lick the back of the cane toad just enough that they get a trip out of it.

:thumb Exactly!
Me having been an avid traveller between Victoria and Queensland, I can vouch to the frogs in the toilet scenario.....and up in Queensland, I have seen them in the loo! Down south, nil!
The frogs love the coolness of the toilet porcelain. I hear the daughter scathing at the toilet "Go away, scat, scram!"

Where else would anyone talk into a toilet bowl!

Also, the Queensland spiders (wolf spiders) are horrible, jumpy and huge!

Ours a just little ones, except for Huntsmen spiders.

Then there are Queensland's cockroaches, OMG....they are so huge, you could almost put a saddle on them.
Ours down south, are tiny, not even noticeable. If you ask the average person on the street, they won't even know what a cockroach looks like to identify it.
But by golly, bugs grow bigger up North!

The Toads r from South America though, so no natural predators, just another introduced feral species.
On the toilet bowl though ive never seen a toad in one , they arnt crawlers and don't jump high, but green frogs love toilets and drains and if u have ever tipped boiling water down a sink and heard the frog screams u will never do it again
I Go toad hunting about once a week with my partner at night, she spots them with a flash light and I get them with tongs then we freeze them and to the tip on bin day :purple

Bury the toads where you gonna plant all those fruit trees, nothing like bodies to fertilise an orchard. You could advertise “Hit men, bring the bodies here for deep burial, never be found!”

Seriously, big apple trees have been found with coffins buried near them empty and a smile on the face of the apple tree. (Apple trees grow huge!)
