Celebrating quietly with some of my canned blood orange juice, soda water and a tiny splash of Bombay gin, not even a capful.

Delicious! Orange notes predominating, bitter and tangy, tiny clear note of the spicy Bombay gin, light fizz from the soda water.

I might try a blood orange-bombay gin gelato. Won’t be terribly boozy—can’t add too much booze or the icecream won’t freeze and the alcohol will be largely boiled off in making the custard that is frozen & whisked to become gelato. But Bombay gin is redolant with spices and will complement the citrus of the blood orange.

Gordon and Booby sort of challenged me. Booby talking all big “for Monk maybe dry “10.00-10.05” because he likes to be all patronising to me because he can’t ever best me in argument.

Booby saying he drinks 1/4 glass every 2-3 months and Gordy describing a night out involving three pubs and wants me to believe he only drank water? I showed them. They didn’t have a dry July no fucking way.
