Grap didn't take too kindly to my suggestion that men could maybe stop raping & killing women.

I can't work out how someone so precious that he likens a woman upsetting her usband to women being killed, could have ever served in the SAS.
I thought they bred them tougher than that.

Three people here have indefinite bans and no reason given. I was banned on a lie. So you can see there is some reason for animus. We should move on and forget OzPol.

of course. Feel free to jump in.

Give me some time to get the feel for the place. I'm the kind of person who can be tone deaf and weigh in a little harder than I should. I don't mean anything by it, it's just what comes out. I tend to say stupid stuff in real life because I don't always have time to plan what I say. When a joke is told, I have to process it and I get the joke about 2 seconds after everybody else. I'm mathematical and tend to over analyze things. Anyway, I'll jump in soon enough. Thanks for the invite.
moribund - One of those words I've heard, but we don't use in the American vernacular.
My other handicap is that we speak different dialects and use different phrases. Some of them are obvious, but not all. If I said that someone was all hat and no cattle, would you understand? That's a Texas saying for someone who talks the talk but can't walk the walk. (drug store cowboy)

I think we have you at a disadvantage there. A lot of your phrases (not all) we are familiar with through Hollywood and TV ... you on the other hand probably don't get an awful lot of exposure to the Aussie vernacular

If I am wrong about him, feel free to let me know.
See what I mean about jumping in with both feet? It's getting pretty ugly over there. Where is the popcorn smiley?
Goodnight.
