It is OK, will put a copy of the book on hold. (Park Holme has a copy 19 days overdue—slow reader?)

I see that the 1990 movie is on Netflix (or Stan ???).

So, I'm gonna watch that tonight and then I'll start on the new series next week.

There's also a Netflix/Stan series called 'Alias Grace'.

by the way, were you aware that the lady in that shot died after a fall? age approx. 45. What a waste.

IIf you knew the tv series, you'd appreciate thye context in which i'm viewing that poster. That's a lot of time in hair and make up. The irony is almost cruel.

But yes, married to my true love Liam Neeson. Few kids. Absolute tragedy. That's why i had the (d) in there. Very talented member of the Redgrave family.

Watched the movie. It's not great In fact, it's pretty awful. But that maybe i'm comparing to the series, although i tried not to.

The series is, in every way, superior.

Look forward to checking out Alias Grace though. Will do when i've finished binging Peaky Blinders.

I didn't watch the movie the other night - maybe I'll give it a miss and just go straight to the new series.

Watching Lost In Space at the moment (my favourite show as a kid), so might get onto THT after that.

My son's started watching the new 'monkey' series :WTF ....they shouldn't be allowed to touch the classics, Just replay them.

The new one looks crap, although son seems to like it, so maybe it's just me showing my age. :roll

You know that hypothetical question in which you're asked to pick any point in history to visit?

I'd be hard pressed to go past the studio in London where they dubbed Monkey (the proper one) into English. It would just be full of people falling about laughing all over the place. Brilliant.

Ha Pigsy! Marshal of the Heavenly Host!

Revisited it with both of my kids. You get so much more out of it as an adult.

A new Monkey series - really? :roll

Then again, I didn't like the idea of a new Lost in Space series, but it's actually pretty good.

Yes, new Lost in space, on Netflix.

I'm really enjoying it.

The robot is pretty cool, and Dr Smith is quite the villain.

In the new one, do the girls ever get a chance not to be doing housework at the ship and have adventures with Will?
