Jaybuz......how many hours per how many weeks went into that!!!!! Incredible choreography as well.

They practiced 6-8 hours/day for 3 weeks until school started. Once school started in late August, they practiced about 12-15 hrs per week before and during school.

I really look forward to their concert season. My son also plays in the jazz band and they do the really cool music. Since my son is now first chair, he will get a lot of solos. Next jazz performance is in mid December, but the Spring concert is always better because they are not so tied to Christmas music and have more time to practice with marching season behind them.

Regional qualifying is soon and if he makes it, he gets to play with the best in North Texas and they put on a good show. He was an alternate last year.

I'm very proud of him and he looks handsome in his tuxedo.

Robben Ford is a fantastic guitarist, and this is a cool song.

On another thread someone asked if many people know what reality is. For some reason it reminded me of this Beatles song.

That's quite the irony. Lennon wrote Glass Onion in response to the over-analysis of Beatles' songs.

As for the Beatles representing reality, i can't go past:

Using played as a rock song, heavy on the electric guitars, I like this acoustic version of her hit song.

Speaking of musicians looking good for their age, I know this is a vid clip from 2008, but wow, considering their physical, and musical talents are in top form!
And love the 'atmosphere' this has.

@ Texan, I did a bit of catching up with this thread last night, looking at about 5 pages so far of the music posted, and I am amazed at that one with your son in it, it's awesome!! Loved it :thumb Tell him I'm even proud of him too :thumb I know it takes a lot of practice to keep it that way, I used to tell my piano students, that Japanese students, some, practice 3-8 hours a day, so if they do even half hour a day, they would improve their scales and sight reading etc.

John Farnham....You're the Voice. (PS, had an encounter with him, in the disco club Tok H, hosted by Molly Meldrum, mid 1980's when I was younger and spunkier, not knowing it was him, I think, gee that looks like JF looking me up and down, (you know, when you sense someone is watching you) then he came and whispered something in my ear, and friends around me "What did he say! What did he say?!" Then I knew it was him!! :hush He was a bit of a flirt :giggle

Paloma Faith, her rendition of Never Tear Us Apart. Love it.

And another one I love of her performances, Only Love Can Hurt Like This.
