Queen

I've always wanted to attempt this myself.

However, seeing how Andy has handled it, I don't think I'll bother anymore.

In fact, I might just throw all of my guitars away.

That was mesmerising.

Aside from the quite frankly freakish guitar skill, it truly showcased what a masterpiece BR is.

Freddy would be mighty impressed.

When I was a lot younger, I did an arrangement of Love of my Life for acoustic guitar which was pretty damn good.

I used to get requests to play it here in Perth pubs.

However, that rendition of BR is something else altogether.

I've always loved Andy's work, but he's really taken it to a new level now.

That was just one man, one guitar, and one amplifier.

Amazing!

Don't compare yourself unfavourably. He's clearly made a Faustian pact.

I've a dear friend whose entire life is guitars and he plays magnificently yet he says his favourite instrument is the human voice (specifically female).

I'll have to show him this because that guitar sung like Freddy ... and Freddy could sing like no-one ... while still managing to play like May. At the same time.

It always blows me away to watch the very best guitarists in the world perform.

If I were to play in a group, I would be at best a journeyman rhythm guitarist, so I just stand in awe of the skills and talent of people like this.

Me too!

I can play and sing at the same time ... and that's the very best i can do. I'm the kind of a guitarist that is compensated for by a band. I relish listening to true musicians.

All that said, the guy in Greg's link is a freak. That's just not human.

Yes, not many people know of Andy Timmons.

As a guitarist, I've been following his career for years.

He's a very tasteful player.

I agree, very impressive. I just bought and watched tonight, the Bohemian Rhapsody DVD movie that is still on at some movie theatres. A great story!

My son plays hauntingly beautiful acoustic guitar' and barely even bothers to his pick it up- one of the great joys in my life is to listen to him play and yet so difficult to get him too do so- he cut his teeth on Greenday this one and others- Good Riddance his very first

Did Pecca post a clip of him playing a guitar ?- shame I missed it
