Australian crows—smartest of all Aust. predators?

They eat live cane toads! Grab them by the eyes, eat the intestines, thighs etc, avoiding the parts with toxins. Bit gruesome but might at least slow down and put some limits to the cane toad invasion:

Yes - extremely smart.

...but not smart enough to form 'groups' to fight off those Indian Minah birds who harass them in large numbers.
Those Minahs are smarter.

You refer to the Indian Mynah bird. No relation to any Australian breed. They are a huge pest.

Crows are definitely intelligent. There was a particular Murder of Crows studied. They were observed to use tools, ie sticks , and had recognisable calls that constitutes a language.
Not bird brains at all.

The Indian Mynah is another story. They invade native bird territories, kill the chicks, and or the parents, and take over the territory. They are a flying frikkin disaster for any country to appear in.
