Better driver for the new modem, freeing up CPU cycles?

Nah. When I was having drop out issues....all within the last six months......bought TWO new Modems to prove to Testra that drop out problem was their end. It was.....and Telstra credited me with the cost of those two new ones.

So.....can't be a 'new modem' thing.

Have no idea what 'CPU cycles' are.

Well, I can’t say more, you haven’t given much info there.

Step 1. Internet slow load...all sites.
Step 2. Change to another Modem.

Outcome....Internet load speed good...all sites.

You now know as much as I do.

So the modem is quicker not the computer!

Could be Telstra is giving you better “quality of service” to shut you up. Said better QoS can and will be removed at some time. Well known ISP/RSP trick I am afraid.

As a Telstra customer I received constant new modems till I got to the latest. Its an NBN problem. Your hardware has to be right up to date to enable best possible outcome. Its a long and sad story.
