The charge at Beersheba

Postby HBS Guy » 31 Oct 2017, 12:04

Amazing that only 31 diggers were killed, 80-odd horses tho. Compare to the slaughter of the Light Brigade 70 years earlier.

It turned the line the Turks (and Germans?) had set up in Palestine and so led to the collapse of Syria and Iraq and the Ottoman Empire.
