The mentality of some Americans:

“F**k gun laws we should have been able to bring our guns in to protect ourselves and each other at events.”

“THIS IS WHY MORE PEOPLE SHOULD OWN GUNS so we can protect each other.”

I chat with a few yanks on a home brewing chat room. No kidding, even intelligent yanks will say the answer to too many guns is. . .more guns. Some of them bought—and BURIED—guns when Obama mentioned some slight gun control! Madness!

As somebody on Twitter said, 2nd Amendment was passed in era of muskets: a trained soldier still takes nearly 20 seconds to load and fire one, now we have fully auto weapons!

I have a couple of really intelligent, well adjusted friends in the US.

They are very gentle people, who wouldn't hurt a fly.

Both of them have guns, though.

When I asked them why, they said "Everyone else has got one".

It's a disease over there.

They just can't comprehend life without guns.

It's like telling a teenager they don't need a smartphone.

2nd amendment was the worst thing that could happen to the USA. It was designed for a bygone era

You must be absolutely terrified of them, I feel for you greggy, maybe a West Australian man hug might help you recover from the trauma. :bgrin :bgrin

But guitarist Caleb Keeter went further, describing the ordeal as a revelation.

“I’ve been a proponent of the [second] amendment my entire life,” he posted on Twitter. “Until the events of last night. I cannot express how wrong I was.”

Keeter said that members of the band’s crew have concealed handgun licenses, and legal firearms on the bus.

“They were useless. We couldn’t touch them for fear police might think that we were part of the massacre and shoot us. A small group (or one man) laid waste to a city with dedicated, fearless police officers desperately trying to help, because of access to an insane amount of firepower. Enough is enough.”

In an interview with CBS he said his brother had “no religious affiliation, no political affiliation, he just hung out”.

He added: “He’s not an avid gun guy at all. The fact that he had those kind of weapons is just — where the hell did he get automatic weapons? He has no military background or anything like that.

"He’s just a guy who lived in a house in Mesquite, drove down and gambled in Las Vegas. He did stuff. Ate burritos.”

No.

My friends are very nice people - I have no reason to be terrified of them.

I'm concerned that they think they need guns, though.

Gives me a chance to bash the lying schmedia again. For about the first four pages, today's Courier Mail raved on about how the Cops shot this bloke after breaking into his Hotel Room. Today, other schmedia say the murdering prick shot himself.

Really shits me how they so blatantly do not give a flying fuck about facts. Just make it up to meet a deadline.

Years from now you can imagine an argument on a Forum like this....how did that guy die. "Oh," says A....."he was shot by Cops. Here is the link Courier Mail." "No," you idiot," says B, "he shot himself."

But you have stated on more than one occasion that gun owners terrify you.

So I would presume even knowing that people you know are gun owners would have caused you to defecate thy pantaloons in fear.

Im not saying that your fear isn't irrational to the point of being bat-shit crazy, but it is what you believe.

I though maybe a a WA Man Hug would help you get over the trauma of it all.

I think it is somewhere between lying to maintain the narrative and being stupid as fuck.

This being a classic case in point.

Two devices were attached to the stocks of semiautomatic guns to allow fully automatic gunfire, according to the Associated Press.

I see that Baronvonrort is continuing to make excuses for this murderer at every chance he gets.

He's playing semantics now.

"He's not a terrorist" etc.

Well, Baron, he's a murderer.

A murdering, white christian cunt, yet you and BigHole continue to make excuses for him.

You disgust me.

I don't know how to get that through to them. It's like, every time it isn't a Muslim doing it, the extenuating factors emerge ... every time it is a Muslim, the only possible factor is Islam.

I don't think they'll ever get it.

Really? I never saw that.

In any event, is there something illogical about being scared of guns? Is it like, alpha or something to actually not be scared of something that could kill you?
