The “quality” of posts there now. Lee:

We're scientists. We know the climate's changing. And we know why.

"At this point, just about everyone recognizes that the climate is changing. Even Donald Trump says, "I think something's happening." Now, the question being debated is why the climate is changing.

Though there may be a public debate, there's no debate among scientists like us — decades of research have demonstrated that human activities, primarily the emission of carbon dioxide from the combustion of fossil fuels, are driving the climate change we are experiencing.

To understand why we are so confident, it's useful to think about climate change as a whodunit. Climate does not change by itself, so scientists are detectives trying to solve the mystery of what has been warming the Earth for the past century."

Hmm. One wonders why climate changes at all then. It wasn't CO2, apparently, previously. One also wonders why they concentrate on the last century only.

Ans why they ignore the global cooling scare of the 60's and 70's.

Then of course the recent paper that says CO2 is causing cooling over Antarctica.lso wonders why they concentrate on the last century only.

CO2 is not the only factor affecting climate. There is variability from the ENSO cycle, the PDO, big volcanic eruptions etc and bigger changes from Milankovitch cycles.

We concentrate on the last century since that is when most of the CO2 got emitted and the time in which we live. Paleoclimate is an active field of study tho. Scientists want to predict what is going to happen with climate.

Global cooling scare of the 60s and 70s. We know what happened: industry emitting SO2. That gave us acid rain and the Montreal Treaty that reduced SO2 emissions. As it is, enough SO2 emissions still to mask some AGW. It wasn’t much of a scare: in 1968 the first radiative-convective numerical model of climate was developed that is still going well. US meteorologist Sawyer predicted in 70s that climate would warm by 0.6°C by 200—it warmed 0.5°C. Hansen was working on AGW etc.

CO2 does not cause cooling over the Antarctic Plateau.

Most of this I posted there, Lees just ignores it.

As to lying, you post videos by a liar all the fucking time, of course I think you lie!

ozpol is dead these days. apart from one or two going on about muslims, gordy going on about indians and set pretending to be a saint, there isn't anything of worth to be had there.

Stick a fork in it. It's dead.

There were 6 members online this morning, and there are only 6 there again now.

Everyone has left.

FD has only himself to blame.

Forums pretty much died with Facebook. And now Facebook is dying fast, losing users, losing views, and losing stock market value. They're so desperate they're running ads on GoyTube. Pathetic. Sad little people. And they're targeting the third world is obvious. I mean, did you see their promotional video. It's showing reactions to a post. That's so old. And they're showing how a happy family is posting photos. Moronic system for morons.

At least with Facebook the morons left the forums and went to Facebook. Now forums are a lot cleaner. Especially small forums like this one. They just can't find smaller forums on Google.

All families are disfunctional in their own way. Forums are like families.

I can imagine!

Would love to go grey nomading (tho I don’t have much grey hair) around Australia: The Kimberlies, Darwin, Mt Isa, Atherton Tablelands etc.
