Air-yan, nothing in between the ears?

Chec republic is better than your India, let me tell you. And it's Airyan, not a Rough Collie dog from Scotland.

Just got a little book in the post “Little Muffin Cookbook.” Thought I had checked but not well enough—another copy is on its way.

No matter, one copy can go to my great niece Milly, just at an age kids like to cook.

Не заслужаваш нито луканка нито филе Елена. Заслужаваш цигански фъшкии в устата.

Who the fuck wants Lukanka anyway? If i want salami I'll eat real salami.

There's a reason Italians are famous for salami and Bulgarians are not :roll

Да, и тука поне ядем българска храна, не пластмаса бе коп*ле т*по. В пустинята никога няма как да отгледаш домати да речем. Пий живак и мри.

Translation: Yes, and here at least we eat Bulgarian food, not plastic was not. In the wilderness you can never grow tomatoes. Drink mercury and die.

I wrap pancetta around stalks of asparagus, bake at 180°C for 15 minutes. Heavenly—the asparagus is still crisp and goes well with the pancetta.

You can use thin rashers of bacon or ham or prosciutto I suppose.

My family loves green bean bundles when we get together for the holidays. It's bacon, wrapped around green beans, and dipped in a buttery brown sugar mix before baking. It has to be bad for you, because it tastes like bacon dipped in maple syrup.

My mom takes bread dough and rolls it out. She puts meat, onions, peppers, and whatever you want on it. She folds it over to make a pocket and drizzles butter on it and bakes the bread. It's good for brown bag lunches and easy to handle.

Had to take Mum to an op shop. Fun, not. However, after casting a not-very-hopeful glance at the bric a brac shelved (no Diana dinner plates, fukkit!) I had a look at the book shelves, again with a not overly optimistic eye. Found two great little cookbooks! Yeah!

Breakfasts

Afternoon teas.

The last book I almost put back as a bit of a gay wank but $1.50, nothing to lose. Now, I an NOT going to cut fucking sandwiches into heart shapes but there are some bloody good recipes and ideas! Even a couple of recipes with lavender: I will have plenty growing in my garden to provide diversity to my fruit trees, why not the odd lavender cake? There was a book on lavender, but I put it back on the shelf, not THAT into lavender!

Both books were a massive MASSIVE $1.50 each.

Also a Mrs Beeton “Easy Entertaining.

$11 for 3 fantastic cookbooks!

Didn’t find “Muffins and teacakes” dammit!

This is the real salami. Lukanka is so much better than other foods. You must try it.

Don't matter. Grab some more Lukanka:

Goes great with beer, whiskey, water, airyan, even Coca-Cola, if you believe me. All Bulgarian pizzas have lukankas. And it's great. No real Bulgarian pizza lacks lukanka. You can't find that anywhere in the world. I didn't see that in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Hungary, Russia, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia or Austria. And I've been to all these places.

No. It's a Lukanka. It's Bulgarian. Wursts and other salamis taste like shit compared to Lukanka. It's so different. Like comparing a Tesla, to a cricket bat.

Only a small book. I intend to grow a heap of perry pears, seems perry is a better drink than cider!

An entire book on perry pears?
I’m not keen on muffins as they usually have an overpowering taste of baking powder, and ingredient I avoid like the plague.
By the way, quince liqueur poured over creme brulee works a treat. My Gran used to drown it in Benadictine which didn’t work.
Made the whole thing taste like a cough lolly.
