Not a very bright idea right now. Chrome is now still the fastest browser, even overall. Also 99% of the web works most correctly with Chrome. Sites like Fiverr, YouTube and eBay bug a lot with Firefox, Edge or others. Some buttons won't work, some elements won't show correctly.

I hate Chrome and Google but trust me on that, there's not an alternative at the moment. Google has established a complete monopoly on the IT market and that won't change anytime soon. With Android they concreted their control even more.

For privacy - install the GHOSTERY add-on.
