The first of a wave of lawsuits against Trump? ... Two Capitol police officers sue Trump for ‘physical and emotional injuries’ suffered in riot

Donald Trump could have huge awards against him in court. There were 100 police injured in the insurrection and they might be awaiting the results of the first lawsuits.

Could a class action by Chinese Americans follow?

Huge awards against the orange buffoon couldn't happen to a more deserving dolt.

Two Capitol police officers sue Trump for ‘physical and emotional injuries’ suffered in riots

Two Capitol police officers who battled the mob of pro-Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 are now suing the former president for the physical and emotional injuries they say they suffered in the attacks.

In a federal suit filed Tuesday in D.C., officers James Blassingame and Sidney Hemby allege that for months, Trump rallied the insurrectionists with baseless election fraud claims that eventually culminated in the breach of the Capitol that left five dead, including a Capitol police officer. More than one hundred police officers were injured, according to the police union, and two officers who had been on duty at the Capitol that day later died by suicide.

“Both United States Capitol Police Officers reported for duty on January 6, 2021, without any suspicion that they would soon become the targets of Trump’s followers,” according to the suit.

The lawsuit is the first brought by Capitol police officers against former president Donald Trump.

Blassingame, a 17-year veteran, and Hemby, who has been on the force 11 years, allege that Trump was directly responsible for inciting a mob of his supporters who had gathered at his “Stop the Steal” rally outside the White House earlier that morning. Encouraged by Trump’s orders to march to the Capitol, the lawsuit says, the mob followed his directives and later attacked officers and destroyed federal property as lawmakers met to certify Joe Biden as president.

“The insurrectionist mob, which Trump had inflamed, encouraged, incited, directed, and aided and abetted, forced its way over and past the plaintiffs and their fellow officers, pursuing and attacking them inside and outside the United States Capitol, and causing the injuries complained of herein,” the suit states.

Jason Miller, a spokesman for Trump, did not immediately respond to The Washington Post’s request for comment as of early Wednesday.

Need to wait—forever?—for a court case settling whether Trumpy caused the insurrection.

A win in court sets precedent for subsequent lawsuits.

Evidently, the relatives of the dead police and the dead insurrectionists can start lawsuits against Donald Trump.

The burden of proof in civil lawsuits is much less than for criminal prosecution.

It is but it has to be proven that Trumpy initiated the insurrection. Pretty hard, I think.

Feds Disgraced! Oath Keepers Vindicated!

Source: OATHKEEPERS

The Democrat-Socialist Federal prosecutors, aka U.S. Department of Justice, have had a field day with the Antifa-led Capital riots on January 6th.

In their over-zealousness to project the blame to President Trump and his supporters, they humiliated themselves by claiming that Thomas Caldwell, a retired U.S. Navy officer from Virginia, was a leader in the group “Oath Keepers”.

They took this a step further and attempted to use Facebook messages sent to him as proof that he helped plan the Antifa-led breach of the Capital building.

Arguing that Caldwell was too dangerous to be released, he had been held for several weeks, along with 8 others that prosecutors claim were members of the organization.

Caldwell was released earlier this month to home detention pending trial with the judge admitting that the case against him was weak.

“There is an absence of direct evidence of planning by Mr. Caldwell to enter the Capitol building,” Mehta said. “There are no text messages, communications by him, that speak to entering a building or trying to enter the building. And ultimately, he did not enter the building.”

Now the prosecutors have had to backtrack and wipe the egg from their faces. Reuters reports:

Prosecutors now acknowledge that Caldwell was not even a dues-paying member of the Oath Keepers and that they lack evidence he ever entered the Capitol.

There also are questions about the Facebook messages. Caldwell’s lawyer said in a March 10 court filing those messages were sent by two men who were more than 60 miles (100 km) away at the time and had no connection to the Oath Keepers. The comments were apparently satirical, albeit “tasteless,” his lawyer said, and Caldwell never responded to them.

Prosecutors have made no references to these Facebook messages in subsequent indictments and court filings. The judge has since released Caldwell on home detention, saying: “There’s evidence here that I think is favorable to Mr. Caldwell.”

Caldwell has pleaded not guilty.

The Conservative Treehouse has an excellent report on the case, citing that it seems that the DOJ “never actually intended to win any of these cases, but rather wanted to advance a political narrative about extremists through their earlier statements.”

“The approach of building a political narrative through false accusations and over-charging in the DOJ is the essence of Lawfare. The government has endless taxpayer resources to fuel their political weaponization of the judiciary.”

And for all the other Marxists Media that jumped on this false flag, maybe next time you should look for the facts before you also need to clean your shoes from what you stepped into.

The demon-RAT Marxists are going to fall, one by one, as the Trump Legal Machine seam rolls over their futile attempts to breathe life into their bogus narratives that he masterminded & led the crusade into the Capitol Building as if he were there himself......

Just like the false narratives they failed in stopping the Brett Kavanaugh nomination, & later their fail against Amy Coney Barrett's nomination.....the demon-RATS will go down like the Hindenburg...in flames!!!

We're both entitled to our individual personal opinions............& that's a good thing..........you're left of center, & I'm (based on Australian Politics) I'm far right of center, teetering on extreme.

I agree.....we won't have to deal with the likes of Trump for at least a couple of years, but in my heart of hearts, I hope that whoever takes on the demon-RATS come 2024, he's also a non-politician type, & he's far right of center in his views of the how things need to be understood & resolved.....Whoever he is he needs to be an American Patriot.....God fearing, & America First.......He must firmly believe in the US Constitution.....primarily the Second Amendment, for which he will never turn his back on the Right to Keep & Bear Arms as an Individual Right of the People.....not a privilege overseen by any government...........An American Government's only purpose in life should be to affirm, protect, & defend all the inalienable Rights of the American People.......period.

What a load of BS.

Donald Trump was and is incompetent. Many of his appointees called him a fucking idiot.

Competent business people don't want to be POTUS because they are making billions in their business.

You're entitled to your 'personal' opinions, just like I am..........many millions feel the same as you......& many millions ......many more people than live here in Australia in total.....also think Trump was an excellent President........

Opinions........what makes for great elections........pros & cons........what some see as terribly incompetent......some will see as excellent......Opinions it makes the world go round.

Still down to Trump, killed nearly as many Americans as the Civil War did. Joe has accelerated rollout of vaccinations, etc.

Not down to Biden but when the pandemic is brought under control then you can thank Biden. Your previous two posts are propaganda not fact.

Dopey Donald created the US pandemic crisis by his lack of action to minimize infection surges.
