Contract signed, witnessed and returned to agent! Have heard nothing back so no probs with the signing etc.

While block is just outside a tiny village a bigger place is 10 minutes away, others just a few minutes further up the road.

Excited for sure!

Heh, made booking on Spirit of Tasmania. On way out booked a recliner, means sleep will be pretty fucking minimal.

Originally had booked recliner on the way back. (very short notice—I had thought settlement would take longer!) but wasn’t happy driving all the way back to Adelaide with hardly any sleep.

So, other options being unavailable—I booked a private four-berth cabin! $169. Could have booked a bunk in a male 2bunk cabin but the idea did not appeal. No four bunk share cabins due to COVID19. Bunk was $110. Worth the extra $59.

On the way to Tassy won’t get much sleep but don’t have far to drive. Adelaide 725Km from Melbourne—need to be rested!

Well , no , actually.

I decided to call you Booby. It's a natural... and nothing to do with Monk.
It is not bad spelling, it is deliberate.

Well, I doubt you would be travelling to Tassie. . .But it is stuff like snoring—Spirit of Tasmania is not a cruise ship, the four bunks are packed into an area little bigger than a bathroom in a house. The other guy snoring might keep me awake and since I cannot lie on my side properly with just the small pillows Spirit provides I might keep the other guy awake.

Truly epic snoring happens!

For $60 I get a good nights sleep before starting the drive back to Adelaide.

Trust you to make it about homosexual sex!

OK, new block of land bought!

Higher and colder than George Town. Great for my trees. Had been looking at Pioneer in the tip of the NE of Tasmania—weather too mild! Too cloudy too. This location will see my Dabinets set fruit—over 900 chill hours. Apart from too cold for me—can I learn to hibernate?—in winter it is a nice block, rather bigger than the block in George Town.

One thing shits me—blocks sold and settled years ago suddenly pop up in the various websites listing properties like Domain.com.au, makes it hard to find an actual current block. I came across four of the fuckers!

I prefer realestate.com

but they all do it to some extent. If sights like domain and realestate removed every sold property, they would on occassion have the whole site set up for 5 or 6 properties .. and the punters would go away and look elsewhere. I used to have this problem a lot when I used to sell or rent. I'd often get calls months after it was no longer available, on one occassion even 2 years after the fact. Then they'd get the shits with me because I didn't remove it and wasted their time. Trying to explain to them that it wasn't our doing is pointless.

I used all three.

These were properties sold a couple years previous coming back onto the list of properties for sale. I enquired about FOUR such! Waste of my time, waste of the agent’s time!
