But we can do more! Solar over reservoirs displaces no agriculture and reduces evaporative losses and are close to capital cities, win win!

Lots of north and west facing ridges in the lower and mid north here in SA that are too steep/rocky even for sheep. Be nice to put solar cells there—but they would blind motorists driving past—we need a matte solar panel! Maybe fibreoptics?

also solar panels about 3-4 meters in the air over farmland are proving better yields from the shade and the added benefit of power....

Yes, farmers cut down too many trees and you can see herds of cows trying to cram into the one bit of shade. If the panels provide more shade while allowing grass to grow that is indeed a bonus.
