Pregnant Covidiot

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

She's a suspected criminal and was arrested accordingly.

She was treated gently and with respect.

There was a female officer present.

Her response is "Can't I just take the Facebook post down?"

Really?

So instead of arresting thieves, for example, they can just put back the item they stole and everything's okay?

Give me a break.

These 'covidiots/Karens/Facebook trouble makers' need to be pulled into line.

Why should pregnant women be above the law?

Oh, I just realised, Seth might not know what I'm talking about.

Here you go: https://www.news.com.au/world/coron...t/news-story/cdd5dd3ed140416489c1925e4e6aef8d

Excuse the source, Seth. It's a crap news site.

Notice some of the sensationalist language they use?

"Detectives descended on the woman’s Miners Rest home on Wednesday, armed with a search warrant ..."

"Officers raided the 28-year-old’s home and seized her mobile phone and computer equipment, after she greeted them at the door in pink pyjamas."

Pink pyjamas? What the hell does that have to do with anything?

Booby is going bananas about this case. Obviously and as usual no idea of the issues.

From Booby:

Victoria has recorded another 113 cases of COVID-19 and 15 deaths since yesterday, the state's health department says.

The state's coronavirus death toll now stands at 591.

It is the first time this week the daily case count has risen back above 100, after 90 new infections were recorded on Wednesday, 70 on Tuesday and 73 on Monday.

FUCK! I want the infections to go right DOWN for personal and general reasons.

the police don't do anything to help themselves, sure the woman needed to be charged, but yelling at her and putting her in handcuffs doesn't help anyone....They really need to use their best behaved and personable cops to do these things....

I didn't hear any yelling (from the police).

It looked like a very civilised arrest.

I didn't see the police do anything wrong.

Handcuffs are normal procedure.

Is there a longer video maybe, that I haven't seen?

there is a second video and the copper interrupts her and lifts his voice a little and says "let me finish"...no yelling though...

Fuck ya Greggy your right again, I try to not watch much video becouse I don't have much of a plan and went off what the news said not what was actually said... I watched it and agree with you, the copper doing the talking was very good and I retract my comment before ( twice in 2 days.....:scarei've been wrong)

I had to Google Rita Panahi to find out who she was.

"Rita Panahi is an Australian opinion columnist. She works for The Herald and Weekly Times, a subsidiary of News Corp Australia and is host of The Friday Show on Sky News and is a contributor to Sunrise on the Seven Network. She is on the radio at 3AW and 2GB."

Lol, that makes sense.

Is she suggesting that crying, pregnant mothers should be exempt from being arrested?

If so, why? I don't get it.

Plus, the police officer didn't shout at the woman.

And, every smart phone in the house would be important evidence in regards to the alleged crime (especially the husband's).

I really don't see what this opinion columnist's problem is.

I've had enough of these covidiots - the courts need to start locking up more of them.

Don't like being quarantined in your own home (or hotel) with Netflix, the internet, a comfy couch (or bed) and a fridge full of beer?

Okay - try a prison cell instead, you whiny little fuckwits.

My "Americanism" finds it abhorrent to arrest a pregnant lady for a Facebook post.

I like our 1st Amendment, and I wouldn't trade it away for anything. I am happy to live with speech that ignorant, absurd, or dishonest, in exchange for thinking for ourselves and deciding for ourselves about things.

What does her pregnancy have to do with anything though?

Are you saying it's okay to arrest people for Facebook posts as long as they're not pregnant?

Or, should nobody be arrested for Facebook posts?

In which case, why mention the fact that she's pregnant?

You can’t shout, falsely, “FIRE!” in a movie theater. Threatening a protest march against sensible lock down precautions is akin to that.

Playing on the pregnancy angle is sensationalism, not what we need right now!

Exactly.

The fact that she's pregnant is completely irrelevant.

And as far as "news" outlets reporting that she opened the door in pink pyjamas - what the actual fuck!?

These people can't seriously be called journalists.

No, that's a false equivalency. Why?

Because I'm not saying she didn't commit a crime under your law. What I'm saying is that I don't agree with the crime itself.
