Lucky Ducky you!
I am so looking forward to going on a fishing charter excursion in the Peninsula once we out of lockdown. Seems I'm the only one interested in fishing in this family!
But alas, they love me cooking the fish for dinner hey!
Let me know how much fish you catch Seth.

Tomorrow I leave for Brownlee Reservoir on the Snake River with a couple of friends for some fishing and relaxation. See ya after I get back.

So what am I doing during lockdown here in Melbourne surrounds?
Cooking, watching Netflix, cooking, food shopping, cooking, sanding doors and window frames and painting, cooking, and then....more cooking.
I'm going to make a gluten free mandarin cake now. See ya!

I work tonight. After I sleep late, I have a few home maintenance tasks to do. The house needs to be ready to sell soon. I will replace some kitchen cabinet lighting and replace a toilet fill valve. Yesterday I repaired some grout around a door we recently replaced. I need to do some repairs on our storage building out back.

I'm in bed listening to a hail storm at the moment. It's only pea sized.

Yeah, I need to do the same once Mum passes and her estate has to be settled. House will likely be knocked down and 3-4 home units built in its place. But need to have some repairs done—can’t have the roof leak.

Condition of a house has relatively little effect on price but could see the house take longer to sell: location and size of a house account for practically all variation in prices I found—looking at hundreds of thousands of sales in this state.

Sorry to hear about your Mum.(or hopefully, I misread your post and she is fine)

Why is most of the population along the coasts with vast uninhabited areas all over Australia? I know people want to live near the beach, but is the rest that uninhabitable?

Pretty much....unless there is some sort of massive irrigation initiative. Australia is the driest Continent on the Planet.

We also caught a lot of yellow perch which were kept and filleted.

That nice bass and the catfish were released.

We beached the boat one afternoon, made a little fire with some driftwood, and grilled our sandwiches and hot dogs.

My boat beached at the lunch site.

We didn't do this. We spotted it along the river as we were headed towards our fishing grounds. I had to get a picture, lol ....

She will see 101 I reckon. Fading a bit, of course, more time sleeping, less time active. Still likes to go out for drives and/or meals and I indulge her liking for drives—if the delta variant makes it here no more drives and her claustrophobia might surface. A nice meal where she pays is also fine by me. Why should she not spend her money herself?

Wow what good innings! You look after her very well. She probably sleeps more as it’s winter, once summer arrives she will be up and about more.

Yeah, could be. I need to get some things re my block and proposed house settled then can do some things I know need be doing. In the meantime I throw away what junk of hers I can get away with trashing (she is sharp and not above looking into what is in the bins! LOL Keeps me on my toes!) She doesn’t hoard garbage, thankfully but acts like she has DECADES instead of days left for actual handcrafts like knitting, crochet, sewing etc
