• Please remember that Politics, Off Topic and Global Warming boards are for fairly serious discussion. I would like to see language used in those boards reflect that level of serious discussion. Sand Pit, Members. Improvements—go your hardest.

These are invisible to normal users but are read by the various bots and web crawlers. Little used, if we are going to have a portal page let us add them in.

They go in the header of a HTML document which contains the HTML version it is written in and the title of the page.

We could have:

Australian
Politics
Economics
Environment
Discussion
Debate
Board

And up to 6 more.

Anyone know if you can use 2-3 words in a tag?

Ummm did a bit of Googling:

<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<meta name="description" content="Free Web tutorials">
<meta name="keywords" content="HTML, CSS, JavaScript">
<meta name="author" content="John Doe">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">

No—it is just giving the search engines some tags to use to index us.

Just work out a set of words that describe us. The paid developer will do the work!
