I'd like to hear what Seth has to say about this blatant hypocrisy.
To begin with, had the Democrats been in control of the Senate in 2016, they would have confirmed Obama's choice, regardless of the upcoming election ... in a New York minute.

In 2016, the Senate Republicans decided not to give Obama's nominee a hearing. From a purely practical standpoint, there was no good reason to go through that process because they knew they would not confirm that nomination. But if Hillary had won the election, and the Republicans still held a majority in the Senate, they would have gone ahead and confirmed the nominee knowing that you can't hold up Supreme Court nominations endlessly.

Now, in 2020, the Republicans are in the same position and are going to do the same thing the Democrats would have done in 2016 if they had had the majority in 2016.

It's not hypocrisy; it's hardball.

Well. He is my two cents. Apparently, she was the only candidate Trump personally interviewed. Bad. She has already been vetted by the GOP mob as she was a possibility when Kananaugh got the gig. Okay. She is a God Botherer. Bad. That she is will appeal to a waning Trump voting support in the US from white male God Botherers. Good for Trump, not good for the USA. She is pro-life, ie, anti-abortion. Bad.

It is curious that she has seven kids, including two adopted from Haiti. Why Haiti, of all the places on the Planet, including the USA? Were those two adoptions 'kosher?'

Not just any old god botherer.

She belongs to a very creepy authoritarian religious cult.

Trump nominated her in order to make sure he has the numbers if the election has to be decided by the Supreme Court.

And, it looks very much like that is exactly what will happen.

Trump has declared that there is no way he will accept defeat in November.

He's all lawyered up, and ready to take it to the Supreme Court.

Interesting times ahead.

She is a member of the cult People of Praise.

Members of the cult swear a lifelong oath of loyalty, called a covenant, to one another, and are assigned and are accountable to a personal adviser, called a “head” for men and a “handmaid” or "women leader" for women.

She belongs to an authoritarian cult.

It's just an indisputable fact.

It's not my opinion, or a rumour, or anything else.

It's just a fact - she belongs to an authoritarian religious cult.

What part of that does you syphilitic brain not understand?

So what......I don't care......
If, in your personal opinion, she belongs to a cult....so what......I don't care......
if that cult is, in your own personal opinion, authoritarian.....so what.....I don't care......

When Justice Barrett is confirmed, she will serve the American People as a Conservative Justice to the United States Supreme Court, making that/my American Court a 6 to 3 Conservative Majority......Pro-Life.....Pro-Second Amendment........Pro-America First!

Those magnificent qualities I heartily applaud.
