HUGE lightning W and SW of here. Quite a way away, over the Gulf I imagine—thunder was but a faint rumble. Spectacular flashes sky to ground, sky to sky! Fantastic!

That was the loudest thunder I have heard, I think. Nope, next one was louder!

Power went out for a few seconds

If Demi was still alive she would be petrified with fright, little Tiffany never paid thunder any attention.

We had some sweet thunder and lightning 2 nights ago but it unfortunately didn't last long enough! There was no sign then all of a sudden a bright flash came through the window and I thought, "Was that...?", and then BOOOOM!! and I got excited and waited for the next one, but unfortunately the boom was quieter and more delayed!

But that first one was great😇🍿🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔

We had 46 in Perth once, but that was only once as far as I know.

45 is oppressive .. do you get that often?

Hope you are ready for temps like we've never seen.

S'posed to be 37 ' here tomorrow. Might have to get my air con in operation.

I put off using it till as late in the yr as poss..
Have had my ceiling fan going non-stop since early Oct.

All costs big bikkies and isn't good for the environment, but , like everyone else.. I reach a point where there is no recourse. Air Con ON.

I remember many years ago, when I was living on the River...ina..:) My MUM lived in an historic building at a certain River Port, and no air con.. she'd dampen sheets and put them up over the sash windows to help cool it down. It worked THEN.. but it wouldn't now.

Reminds me of an old Red Faces contestant.

Very inappropriate now, but hilarious then... was a fellow that came on dressed up as Kamahl.
Remember him.? Kamahl I mean. Fantastic voice.. anyway

This contestant came on and sang a Johnny Farnham hit... Pressure Down..?

So this guys lyrics were....

Turn the pressure cooker down.... a la Kamahl.

Something I will always remember with a smile.
