Earth barreling toward 'Hothouse' state not seen in 50 million years, epic new climate record shows

yeah thanks for that.

doesn't look very hopeful for balance.

From what little I could glean , it doesn't look good at all.

Why aren't we discussing and looking at Antarctica, tho. In our hemisphere.?

Very humorous ..
To me the subject of Antarctica is trickier to explain whereas with The Arctic its much easier to see and show drastic change...

Yeah, Arctic is is MUCH thinner than land ice like Greenland and Antarctica so a little bit of melt on Antarctica does not decrease albedo much (surface is still white snow and ice) whereas Arctic sea ice melts the dark ocean becomes more visible, decreasing albedo which is a positice feedback. And the more open ocean the more extreme middle latitude weather will get.

Search for Pine Island, Thwaites and Totten glaciers here, plenty coverage.

Lol, I didn't even think about the albedo bit, but yeh the Antarctic is a contintent surrounded by ocean versus the Artic being an ocean surrounded(almost) by continent, basically.

The Antarctic is just a big f ice block! If the world sees that melt its fulltime anarchy ...
