BREAKING: Queensland has moved a step closer to hosting the 2032 Olympic Games. At 2am our time, the IOC Board considered a report from the Future Host Commission recommending we move to the stage of ‘targeted dialogue’.

Don't these game just about bankrupt the host every-time it happens.... Why ?????

1. Yeah, host cities lose shitloads of money.

2. Be OK if the athlete’s village becomes low cost housing but see 1.

Why not? We have over 85% of the facilities built already so it won't cost as much as the games traditionally do. And for the nest 10 years Qld will be promoted overseas like never before ... what would all that advertising cost?

I am happy Tassie will NEVER host the Olympics! I do not want to pay more tax for some egomaniacs to show off.
