We haven't!! Unless you purposely choose to ignore the stats. Tell me again, how many more new cases, and how many more deaths from covid-19?isnt that great though, that we have contained it so well, that we can say that...
But we have ... unless you have your head shoved so far up your arse that nothing gets through.Unless you purposely choose to ignore the stats.
don't tell me your complaining now about too many cases and deaths after months of downplaying it all.....:wallWe haven't!! Unless you purposely choose to ignore the stats. Tell me again, how many more new cases, and how many more deaths from covid-19?

In what context did I mention any world stats in the last post? The point I was clearly making was, what moron could logically claim that we are containing the virus, when the number of cases and deaths just keep rising? If the numbers were going down, or even smoothing out, then you MIGHT have a case(although fallacious). Otherwise you are just making a bad joke, or in denial. Now you are looking at world stats. You never wanted to before.
Sorry, I don't understand gibberish, or cryptic!!You must see the abyss we perch upon.
Fear and panic mongering again. How many viruses have we humans managed to live through, in the last 100 years? How many viruses have we humans managed to live with? How many viruses have we ever needed to isolate the population against? Or to suspend individual freedoms and rights?Unless the virus dies out of it's own accord.. and I think that unlikely, we are facing many more deaths , across the northern hemisphere...
I hope we remain relatively unscathed, but I can't help but think any loosening of Australian borders.. for tourists... is IDIOCY.
30 July there was 720 new infections and 4250 cases in the week of 30 July to 6 August....So, as the numbers of infected keep increasing, and the death count keep rising, then this is the proof that we are containing this virus very well? Sounds logical to me!! I guess when we reach 20% of the population being infected, we can then claim almost complete containment, right? Just insane!!
yes and the goverment should insert a chip into their arms so we know they are not lying and the Loving Government can keep track of them.....Should the 25,055 people who have survived Covid-19, be exempt from all restrictions, since it is very unlikely that they can infect or be re-infected?
It is extremely rare for anyone who has been infected by a virus, to be re-infected by the same strain of virus. Although, it is possible that a person can be re-infected by a different strain of the same virus. But the symptoms would be milder, since the genetic variations are so small. For example, how often is anyone re-infected with polio, whopping coughs, measles, or even HIV? Since covid-19 is a complete mutation of the SARS virus(SARS-CoVid-2), it is NOT just a different strain of SARS.Reinfections do happen—viruses mutate.
Reinfections have happened tho and it was worse the second time around.
I think it's we know what the virus is attacking and protecting those citizens better that are susceptible... look at Italy Spain France and UK even New York, not prepared at all on how bad it would be and caught with their pants down... Then look at China and the South east Asian countries that have had recent bad virus infections like South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand , lock-downs right away , just about everyone wearing masks. Very good Containment.....Do you have an opinion, on why as more people are being infected, that the death rate is falling(relative to the number infected)? Herd immunity?

'Here comes a third wave': Shoppers slammed over wild Kmart scenes
'The scenes I’ve seen this morning terrify me': Critics have slammed shoppers who flocked to Melbourne stores at midnight7news.com.au
Critics have slammed Kmart shoppers who rushed to Melbourne stores to celebrate the end of the state’s 15-week lockdown.
Photos and videos posted on social media show hundreds of Melburnians queuing up before midnight on Tuesday to enter Kmart stores.
Many concerned Australians have voiced their disbelief at the wild scenes, accusing the “foolish” shoppers of risking a “third wave”.
“After 139 days locked away, Melburnians still haven’t learnt how to social distance,” said one. “Wave three is coming.”
Any idea that people will naturally do the right thing is dispelled right here....
any Melbournite that tries to look down their nose at the rest of Australia for being culturally superior should have their eyes taped open and made to watch these video's![]()
