you can bet fibre to the home would have been a thousand times better than the mixed technology crap the libs have rolled out. As soon as it rains my internet starts playing up, and it doesn't appear to be any faster than my ADSL was prior to the NBN
would of a could of a... When Labor where in power they only connected 50,000 to NBN... Tasmania was a pure fiasco....Facts

Really?

That's pretty crappy.

How the hell is rain affecting the NBN?

Implementation was always going to be slow to start with. This was something new and unseen in Australia beforehand. It's a learning curve for everyone involved. I'd rather wait another 6 months and get something decent than hurry up and get crap.

And it still took the libs longer to connect everyone than projected for labors version and to top it off the system can't cope with demand now, let alone demand in the next few decades

My very basic TV ..HD.... not very smart.!! bought on-line...... often gets affected by weather.

Particularly ABC Channels. I know there is rain to the west, when ABC TV drops out. Go figure. Probably my bad aerial BUT.. couldn't be fucked.....

Their projected version and what they actually did during time line was way out, so it means nothing...

Liberals biggest mistake was to continue with NBN as it was broken and badly started.
If they just scrapped it and started fresh instead of trying to polish a turd, our internet would be much better...

as opposed to the libs timeline?:mmoon2

the libs biggest mistake was tampering with the NBN in the first place. They should have left it as it was designed in the first place. It would have served us for another 50 yrs ... now we're already looking for altewrnativesd because it can't cope.

Get an amplifier put on your antenna.

Doesn't cost much, and boosts the signal.

I get issues with ABC when the weather is bad too.
That's interesting. I wondered if anyone else did, but most of the folk I know in the region are not skint, and have all the doodads.

I still use the aerial I had for my old analogue TV. :)

We saw that people working from home turned into a fiasco. The network is NOT CAPABLE for serious use. If it was up to the fucking Libs even Don would have shit satellite internet—the Libns did NOT want the second satellite launched!

The telstra copper is not just fucked, it is TOO THIN that means their impedance is TOO HIGH!

VDSL/VDSL2 bandwidth drops off a cliff once you go over 400metres. That is why Pinky has SHIT LIBERAL INTERNET!

What NBN Co did under Labor is run tens of thousands of kilometres of optic fibre backhaul, improving telephony and internet for lots of people. They were rolling out a solid gold internet when that was not needed. In the Melton, Vic, rollout aka Project Fox new technologies were tried that about halved the cost and time to roll out FTTH. I have NO IDEA why the Libs handicapped the country with SHIT INTERNET but what theyu have really done is spend $50Bn+ on a bandaid solution that will need to be redone within a decade—the copper is still rotting.

Ne excuses for the crap, obsolete RUBBISH they rolled out! The power required is VASTLY bigger than for FTTH.

We should have 1Gbps both ways internet. People could then leave the high crime, low services outer suburbs and move to country towns, commuting once a fortnight or once a month to the home office. New services and new applications would blossom creating shitloads of new high tech jobs.

The Libs let the country down in a big way.

I am not sure if COVID19 is going to be a regular part of life, like the flu but deadlier. If it is high speed FTTH to 95% of homes/businesses/farms is absolutely essential.
